November 23, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

STINSON BEACH – CHP at 4:57 p.m. Nov. 14 discovered a stolen vehicle and dusted for fingerprints. Deputies assisted.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 5:17 p.m. Nov. 14 sought advice from deputies regarding ongoing abuse by an in-law.

BOLINAS – A landlady at 11:46 a.m. Nov. 15 reported threatening messages left on her phone from a tenant. Deputies advised.

POINT REYES STATION – A gas station owner at 11:52 a.m. Nov. 15 reported someone had "etched gang graffiti into all the plastic on all the gas pumps."

POINT REYES STATION – A man at 2:42 p.m. Nov. 15 reported the rear license plate from his car had been removed.

STINSON BEACH – An individual at 3:45 p.m. Nov. 15 reported his passenger side window had been smashed and the convertible top cut on his vehicle while parked at Red Rock Beach and Shoreline Highway. His registration and various items were taken from the vehicle.

WOODACRE – A neighbor at 10:54 p.m. Nov. 15 called to report "at least two male subjects [were] banging on something." The neighbor wanted them to stop for the night.

MARSHALL – A driver at 7:38 a.m. Nov. 16 reported an accident involving a car and a cow.

WOODACRE – A resident at 9:50 a.m. Nov. 16 sought advise after having overpaid a cab driver. The fare cost $11.20 but the resident gave $105 in error and wanted his money returned.

FOREST KNOLLS – A mother at 2:52 p.m. Nov. 16 reported her eight-year old son had found a full syringe on the fence of her property. The syringe turned out to be an approximately thirty-year old "animal hypo set."

NICASIO – Two vehicles at 7:22 a.m. Nov. 17 were involved in an accident between Nicasio Valley and the first Ranch. Drivers sustained minor injuries.

BOLINAS – A resident at 10:38 p.m. Nov. 17 reported a beach fire on Brighton Beach. The resident stated the smoke was making it hard for her to sleep.

BOLINAS – An individual on Wharf Road at 11:11 p.m. Nov. 17 reported two men about to fight. The argument began when one man took the other’s wallet. The wallet was returned and deputies responded.

WOODACRE – A woman at 12:24 a.m. Friday requested advice on how to file a temporary restraining order against her ex-husband.

PT. REYES SEASHORE – A drunk driver at 3:41 a.m. Friday crashed his car. The driver was not injured but was arrested.

BOLINAS – A medical worker at 11:46 a.m. Friday requested medical assistance for a 60-year old male suffering chest pains.

LAGUNITAS – A Sir Francis Drake resident at 12:36 p.m. Friday reported his jackhammer stolen from outside his front door.

TOMALES – A woman at 12:41 p.m. Friday reported her tires had been slashed while parked in the main parking lot.

MARSHAL – A resident at 4:04 p.m. Friday reported a suspicious delivery truck. The driver stated he was looking for an address to deliver a mattress but the resident felt suspicious and was concerned the driver was casing the area.

NICASIO – A woman at 5:21 p.m. Friday reported her locked vehicle broken into and her purse taken. The theft occurred between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Nicasio Valley Road.

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 8:36 p.m. Friday reported hearing "about a dozen shots" fired.

BOLINAS – A resident at 7:28 a.m. Saturday reported finding three counterfeit pennies in her purse. The resident brought the pennies to the sheriff substation to be examined. The pennies were authentic coins.

MARSHALL – A woman at 9:05 a.m. Saturday reported a two-story dining hall on fire. The fire department responded.

WOODACRE – A resident at 10:57 a.m. Saturday reported an on-going problem with a neighbor. The previous night, the neighbor had entered the resident’s home without permission and taken the dog. Deputies advised.

WOODACRE – A resident at 12:41 p.m. Saturday reported her insurance, registration, and car charger taken from her unlocked vehicle.

BOLINAS – A resident at 12:43 p.m. Saturday reported his girlfriend had driven off in his vehicle without permission.

LAGUNITAS – A woman at 3:31 p.m. Saturday requested a welfare check on her diabetic friend. Deputies found the diabetic friend asleep at home.

STINSON BEACH – An individual at 5:22 p.m. Saturday reported his driver side window smashed and a small stuffed animal taken from his vehicle while parked along the Panoramic Highway.

FOREST KNOLLS – An alcoholic male at 4:13 a.m. Nov. 20 requested medical assistance after coughing up blood. Medics responded.

DILLON BEACH – A resident at 2:42 p.m. Nov. 20 requested medical assistance after cutting his hand.

POINT REYES STATION – A business owner at 3:24 p.m. Nov. 20 reported her business sign "chopped down."

STINSON BEACH – A man at 5:28 p.m. Nov. 20 reported his female companion missing. She was located.

 

November 17, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 7:41 p.m. Nov. 7 reported her caregiver had removed a box from her home. Deputies responded, and the caregiver returned the box.

STINSON BEACH – Deputies at 11:53 p.m. Nov. 7 received a 911 hang-up call. A deputy determined that "misunderstanding between roommates" had led to an argument and the aborted call. By the time the deputy arrived at their home, the roommates had reconciled.

STINSON BEACH – A Buena Vista Avenue resident 9:43 a.m. Nov. 8 reported his parked vehicle’s rear window had been smashed and a personal item stolen.

STINSON BEACH – A Belvedere Avenue resident at 1:07 p.m. Nov. 8 reported a side window of her parked vehicle had been smashed and her purse stolen.

CHILENO VALLEY – A resident at 4:43 p.m. Nov. 8 reported having accidentally poked himself with a syringe of Micotel, "a cattle-injection product." The resident stated the drug was "potentially deadly." His call was transferred to Poison Control in San Francisco.

LAGUNINTAS – A resident at 7:19 p.m. Nov. 8 reported someone was knocking loudly on his door despite a "No Trespassing" sign. The resident subsequently discovered it was his caregiver knocking.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 7:23 p.m. Nov. 8 reported that someone had tried to break into his home. He noted the burglar had left marks on the glass of his front door.

TOMALES – A woman at 10:39 a.m. last Wednesday reported her ex-boyfriend had been disturbing her by leaving "rambling messages and disturbing notes."

BOLINAS – When a man did not show up for work last Wednesday, his employer called the man’s neighbor, who checked on him. The neighbor, however, found a suicide note and reported it to deputies at 10 a.m. Meanwhile, friends of the employee organized a search party and at 12:06 p.m. discovered him off a trail. The man was transported to a hospital via helicopter. A deputy credited the ad hoc search-and-rescue team with "extraordinary" work.

FOREST KNOLLS – A tenant’s boyfriend at 11:13 a.m. last Wednesday reported a quarrel between he and her landlord. The landlord didn’t want the boyfriend on the property while the tenant was not home. Deputies separated the parties.

LAGUNITAS – A new property owner at 12:43 p.m. last Wednesday complained that the daughter of the previous owner was camping on the property. Deputies asked her to leave.

LAGUNITAS – Deputies at 1:53 a.m. last Thursday shot a deer that had been injured in traffic to put it out of its misery.

FOREST KNOLLS – A woman at 3:26 p.m. last Thursday requested that a deputy stand by while she met "with a woman who supposedly stole some of her property," an officer reported. The woman with the "stolen property" agreed to return it in exchange for money owed her.

INVERNESS PARK – Deputies at 4:35 p.m. last Wednesday responded to a report of a drunken dispute. One person was arrested and then released.

INVERNESS PARK – A homeowner at 4:59 p.m. last Thursday told deputies she suspected that a former worker was living in her home while she was away.

STINSON BEACH – A motorist ran off Panoramic Highway at 12:58 a.m. Friday. Stinson Beach firefighters responded, and officers arrested the driver on drunk-driving charges.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 2:21 p.m. Nov. 11 reported a neighbor has been dumping trash on his property for two years. By now, deputies quoted the resident as saying, "he has had enough."

LAGUNITAS – Medics at 2:38 p.m. Friday responded when an elderly man fell. The man’s primary concern, however, was for his goats. While still on the ground, he urged medics to "make sure the gates are closed."

BOLINAS – A resident at 2:38 p.m. Friday called to report construction was underway on neighboring property although the county Planning Division had "red tagged" it with a stop-work order. Workers were gone when deputies arrived.

WOODACRE – A woman at 9:06 p.m. Saturday told deputies there was an overturned vehicle at Edgewood Drive and Redwood Avenue. The vehicle’s two occupants were not injured in the crash.

DILLON BEACH – A worker at 10:15 Saturday blocked a car occupied by four males from driving away because the driver appeared drunk. The occupants of the car agreed to leave the car and walk.

INVERNESS – Deputies at 1:43 a.m. Saturday received a report that a car had run into an the embankment at Bear Valley Road and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. The motorist suffered facial cuts and was unable to get out of the vehicle.

CHILENO VALLEY – Medics at 8:42 a.m. Saturday responded to a report of a possible heart attack.

NICASIO – The Highway Patrol at 9:21 a.m. Saturday reported a vehicle had overturned. There were no injuries.

BOLINAS – A resident at 2:47 p.m. Saturday reported a man had "set up camp on the beach in a posted ‘no camping’ area." The "homemade tent and makeshift bathroom" have been there for over two months, he said. Deputies found no one at the camp but said they will patrol the area at night.

WOODACRE – A resident at 3:58 p.m. Saturday called to complain about another resident on the same property overfeeding the horses. The caller said the second resident had been seen in the coral "intoxicated chasing the horses and goats." A deputy gave the first resident advice.

POINT REYES STATION – A woman at 8:24 p.m. Saturday reported her husband was threatening her with a shotgun. She said her husband had pointed the gun at her and poked her in the stomach with it. Deputies arrested the husband on domestic-violence charges.

BOLINAS – A caller at 12:29 a.m. Sunday reported a man in his 80s, who’d been dancing and drinking, had lost consciousness in a bar. Medics responded.

NICASIO – A resident at 8:02 a.m. Sunday reported being shoved by his neighbor after he complained about the neighbor’s loud birds and dishes. Deputies responded.

NICASIO – A resident at 2:04 p.m. Sunday told deputies he had received a "five-minute" threatening message left on his answering machine. The message appeared to have been a random call left by a deranged man. A deputy gave the resident advice.

 

November 10, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

OLEMA VALLEY – A deputy on Highway 1 at 9:26 a.m. Sunday arrested a man on a Sonoma County warrant for failure to appear in court and for trespassing in a public business. 

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – A woman at 10:07 a.m. Sunday reported a vehicle had run into a "ditch/creek" between Rocky Hill and Hicks Valley.  A man reported that one of the occupants had a possible head injury.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 10:21 a.m. Sunday reported a "scam."  She said she received a phone call offering her $500 worth of gift certificates if she paid $4.95 and gave her bank account information. A deputy determined that the offer wasn’t fraudulent. 

POINT REYES STATION – A Cypress Road resident at 10:22 a.m. Sunday reported there was an injured deer that wasn’t moving in his yard. A deputy found the deer and shot it to put it out of its misery.  

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – A motorist at 12:31 p.m. Sunday told firefighters there was a rockslide on the road near Black Mountain Ranch. A deputy found "nothing on the roadway."

NICASIO – A resident at 1:15 p.m. Sunday complained about bicyclists in middle of the roadway at Lucas Valley and Nicasio Valley roads. He said the bicyclists refused "to move from the center of the road" and were "causing a traffic hazard by making vehicles swerve around them."

NICASIO – Deputies at 5:52 p.m. Sunday received a report that a deer had been hit by a car at Lucas Valley and Nicasio Valley roads. 

WOODACRE – Deputies received a report at 6:37 p.m. Sunday that a stop sign was down at Central Avenue and Grant Street. A deputy "placed the sign standing up for now" but noted that "the Department of Public Works needs to come out in the morning."

WOODACRE – A woman at 8:31 p.m. Sunday reported her daughter, who lives at the home of the woman’s 36-year old ex-husband, had called to be picked up because "her father was threatening to rub raw fish on her if she did not get into the bath."  The mother said that when she went to pick up the daughter, her ex-husband poked her, but she did leave with her daughter.

DILLON BEACH – A resident at 10:15 p.m. Sunday called to report "lights in a house above them flashing on and off for the past 15 minutes."  The resident later called to report he "went up to the residence and it [appeared] vacant."

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 11:17 p.m. Sunday called to complain of loud music being played by a "group of transients that hang out in [a] dilapidated house." The resident described this as "an ongoing problem." Deputies contacted the group, and "they "stopped playing and agreed to not play anymore tonight."

LAGUNITAS – A neighbor at 1:40 a.m. Saturday reported lights on inside a nearby vacant home.

POINT REYES STATION – A main street merchant at 9:46 a.m. Saturday asked permission to move "barriers from Prince Charles’s visit fronting [his] business… so his customers can access the business."  Deputies later reported, "Barricades moved."

MARSHALL – A woman at 11:31 a.m. Saturday reported a fire burning on an eighth of an acre along Highway 1.  She said someone was "attempting to put the fire out with a hose."

POINT REYES STATION – Medics at 11:48 am Saturday responded to the main street when someone injured an ankle.

WOODACRE – Medics at 12:36 p.m. Saturday responded when a 45-year-old man had difficulty breathing.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 2:35 p.m. Saturday reported hearing two explosions that were "much louder than a [utility pole] transformer exploding."  Deputies checked the area but found nothing amiss. 

NICASIO – A resident reported a grass fire off Lucas Valley Road at 3:50 p.m. Saturday. Firefighters extinguished the fire after it consumed four acres of vegetation. Firefighters determined the fire was started by a large, flaming bird dropping into the grass from overhead powerlines. Vultures on occasion brush the tips of their wings against two lines simultaneously when they take off; this electrocutes them and sets them on fire.

BOLINAS – A landlady at 5:30 p.m. Saturday requested a civil standby while she collected rent from her tenant.  The tenant had "spent last weekend in jail," she said. Deputies stood by during the collection.

FOREST KNOLLS – The Highway Patrol at 7:35 p.m. Saturday reported a Resaca Avenue house was on fire. The fire was extinguished, and only "minor contents" were damaged "as well as structure [behind] the woodstove."

MARSHALL – A Highway 1 resident at 9:28 p.m. Saturday reported she and two companions were "vomiting and [had] diarrhea" after eating homemade crab cakes along with marijuana brownies. The two companions became "sick [and] disoriented from the marijuana after going in the hot tub," she reported. Medics responded. 

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 11:09 p.m. Friday complained about a loud outdoor party. Deputies contacted other residents who "stated they didn’t know anything about a party in the area and hadn’t heard anything all night."  Deputies checked the beach area as well.  

BOLINAS – A man from the school at 9:23 a.m. Friday reported that "someone stole approximately $1,000 from a bank account via the Internet."

BOLINAS – A man on Elm Road at 8:52 a.m. Friday asked about turning in firearms and getting paperwork to show he’d done so. A deputy gave him advice.

TOMALES – A woman from the Middle School at 10:29 a.m. Friday requested that a 12-year-old seventh grader be cited for marking a desk and locker room with graffiti. She said the pupil was being "cooperative." A deputy cited the boy on vandalism charges and released him.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 11:20 a.m. Friday reported three of his credit cards had been stolen and that one of them had been used in Bolinas.

NICASIO – A San Anselmo resident at 4:28 p.m. reported a brown pony was wondering on Nicasio Valley Road near the town square.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 6:38 p.m. Friday complained about a loud band; it was the third time she had complained about it. A deputy contacted another Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident who said "his son’s band was practicing inside the house." The man told the officer he was "willing to work out a schedule to avoid further complaints."

BOLINAS – A Horseshoe Hill Road resident at 11:21 a.m. last Thursday told deputies that "after house cleaners were there, [she] noticed several pieces of jewelry taken from the bathroom." The jewelry is worth $25,000, and the woman "has been in contact with the house-cleaning company, and the owner appears to want to cooperate," a deputy quoted her as saying. He took a grand-theft report.

BOLINAS – A Brighton Avenue resident at 12:24 p.m. last Thursday told deputies that someone had stolen mail from his postoffice box and is now using his bank account. A deputy gave the man advice and reported there was "no merit to any crime."

BOLINAS – An Ocean Parkway resident at 5:56 p.m. last Thursday reported an "ongoing dispute" with a neighbor "over vines between the two properties." The resident said "she owns the vines." That day her neighbors had pulled down the vines, she said, and after she spoke with them, they said "they would be taking down the rest tomorrow." A deputy gave her advice.

CHILENO VALLEY – A Man at 7:01 p.m. Nov. 1 reported a deer had been injured in traffic on Chileno Valley Road. The deer was gone when a deputy arrived.

INVERNESS PARK – A Drake’s View Drive resident at 6:57 p.m. last Thursday reported a 40-year-old man was at her residence "totally drenched." She said the man, who refused medical care, was trying to get to the hostel on Limantour Road but was "lost." A deputy gave the man a ride to the hostel.

SAN GERONIMO – The Highway Patrol at 7:42 p.m. Nov. 1 reported a small fire in vegetation at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Nicasio Valley Road. County firefighters handled it.

FOREST KNOLLS – Deputies at 9:54 p.m. Nov. 11 were alert that a 59-year-old woman with a history of high blood pressure was unable to speak. Medics responded.

BOLINAS – A woman on Wharf Road at 8:22 p.m. Oct. 31 reported a teenager had kicked the gate out front. When she asked him what he was doing, she said, the boy said he was going to "pee." The boy was gone when a deputy arrived on the scene.

BOLINAS – A man at 9:18 p.m. Oct. 31 complained about five to 10 teenagers having a party with loud music that had been going on for hours. All was quiet when a deputy arrived.

BOLINAS – A man at 9:20 p.m. Oct. 31 complained about a loud party in the area of Dogwood and Elm roads, but when a deputy arrived, there was "no sign of a party."

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 9:43 a.m. Oct. 31 complained that overnight a "truckload of horse manure" had been dumped in the adjacent cul-de-sac. She said there is an "ongoing problem with illegal dumping in the cul-de-sac."

BOLINAS – A man at 1:01 p.m. Oct. 31 reported "a female" had been bitten by a dog whose 35-year-old owner was now "walking away." The man said he would take the victim to a clinic.

BOLINAS – A resident at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 31 reported that a "45-year-old man who lives in Bolinas is threatening to beat [him] up." The resident said he was not in danger at that moment and asked to speak to a deputy.

November 3, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

STINSON BEACH – The Highway Patrol at 7:07 p.m. Sunday received a report that there was a "large rock" on Panoramic Highway between Pan Toll Ranger Station and town. The CHP and firefighters handled the matter.

FOREST KNOLLS – A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident at 8:27 p.m. Sunday reported hearing "a bumping noise against her window."

BOLINAS – Deputies at 10:04 a.m. Sunday received a complaint about "electronic music" on Wharf Road. When the caller said to the dispatcher, "Thank you for listening," the dispatcher noted, "a male in the background said, ‘They can’t hear you.’ Then the reporting party hung up." A deputy found youths with an electric guitar in the driveway next to the community center and advised them "to turn it off." This "abated" the disturbance, the deputy reported.

INVERNESS PARK – A bicyclist at 1:30 p.m. Sunday showed up at the Point Reyes sheriff’s substation to report he had been riding on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard north of Balboa Avenue when he was shot in the leg by an air gun. A youth told a deputy the shot was "not intentional," and the officer this week was investigating whether the boy was "negligent" in the shooting.

WOODACRE – A resident at 4:43 p.m. Sunday told deputies she "would like to know if it is legal to have political signs removed." She said six signs had been removed in the area of Park and Railroad avenues.

BOLINAS – A resident at 8:14 p.m. Saturday notified deputies that a "possible teen party" was "heating up in the street" at Brighton and Park avenues. "It sounds like it could get worse," she added. A deputy found a gathering of youths on the beach and the "majority" of them dispersed.

STINSON BEACH – A man at 11:19 p.m. Saturday reported being "mildly attacked by two dogs," one of which was a pitbull. He didn’t know the other’s breed. The man said he "kicked and punched the animals to get them off" him. He gave deputies the named of the dogs’ owner, and a deputy gave him advice.

POINT REYES STATION – Deputies at 3:30 a.m. received a report that a deer had been struck in traffic on the levee road. The Humane Society was about to respond, but the "deer ran into bushes" so the response was canceled. Deputies could not find the deer.

STINSON BEACH – A 43-year-old man at 3:03 a.m. Sunday told deputies he "feels weak" and has a "weird taste in his mouth." He said he had eaten dinner seven hours ago and doesn’t drink alcohol. However, he told officers, that "earlier he was laughing hard and snapped his neck. He felt a weird pain in his back and a ‘pop’ behind a shoulder." He said the symptoms could be caused by stress, but he asked that medics check him out, which they did.

POINT REYES STATION – A merchant at 10:53 a.m. Saturday reported a 75-year-old man had fallen and possibly injured his head.

WOODACRE – Firefighters at 11:12 a.m. Saturday reported receiving a call that someone had parked a suspicious Jeep in front of the Improvement Club during the night. Firefighters said the vehicle "appears to have been in an accident and is dented up with mud on it." A deputy traced the registration to the woman who owns the car.

BOLINAS – A woman at 1:38 p.m. Saturday told deputies that four homeless people on Wharf Road were drinking beer or wine from a keg. She said she was concerned because the man with the keg has a "history of arguments over alcohol." A deputy could not find the man but determined he’d had a large jug of wine and had been giving glasses of wine "to all around."

POINT REYES STATION – A motorcyclist westbound on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road was seriously injured at 2:57 p.m. Saturday when he failed to slow for the stop sign at Highway 1. When he reached the highway, the motorcyclist crashed while trying to veer into the northbound lane. A rescue helicopter transported him to a hospital.

BOLINAS – A man on Wharf Road at 4:46 p.m. Saturday reported a second man was lying across the sidewalk. Firefighters determined the man had no medical problem, and a deputy moved him along.

BOLINAS – A Wharf Road woman at 8:36 p.m. complained that a parked vehicle was blocking the driveway to two residences. A deputy ticketed the vehicle.

POINT REYES STATION – A resident at 9:55 p.m. Friday reported a car had hit a utility pole at Highway 1 and Point Reyes-Petaluma Road. The driver, an employee of a restaurant in town, was not injured. The Highway Patrol handled the mishap.

BOLINAS – A woman at 11:18 p.m. Friday told deputies she had received a ticket for driving without a license 11 days earlier and "was never pulled over for this." She told deputies she "thinks the vehicle stopped belongs to a friend of [her] estranged sister." She said the friend "has a criminal past and thinks that [the friend] is using her name and date of birth." A deputy gave her advice.

BOLINAS – An Olema-Bolinas Road resident at 12:15 a.m. Saturday reported her car’s tires had been slashed. A deputy found the vehicle of a suspect she named, but its engine was cold.

WOODACRE – A woman at 4:34 a.m. Saturday brought her daughter to the firehouse for treatment after she was injured when their car ran off the road and into a ditch.

NATIONAL SEASHORE – A woman at 5:16 a.m. Saturday reported hearing 20 shots from the shore at Drakes Beach. She said two vehicles and three people were in the area of the shooting.

NICASIO – A deputy on Nicasio Valley Road at 8:07 a.m. Friday helped a motorist change a flat tire.

BOLINAS – A resident at 10:17 a.m. Friday complained that her ex-boyfriend in his 30s had been verbally abusive to her and had hit her with a metal gas can the previous day when she asked him "to clean up a water bottle on the ground." A dispatcher noted the resident "is yelling at [her] boyfriend right now." At 4:45 p.m. Oct. 25, she had reported having a quarrel with her ex-boyfriend, who told her "he was putting a knife under her vehicle tire to pop it."

STINSON BEACH – A woman at 11:55 a.m. Friday reported her ex-boyfriend, 36, of Bolinas had "just confronted [her] and threatened [her] and said he... would hurt her." Deputies noted that the previous evening they had served the man with an emergency-protective order requiring him to stay away from her. At 8:29 p.m. the previous day, she had reported he’d hit her car with a crowbar while she was in it. Before this occurred, she said, a court had already issued a restraining order against him.

WOODACRE – A resident at 12:20 p.m. Friday reported a small computer for playing music had been stolen from her car during the night. Deputies took a grand-theft report.

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – A man at 6:28 a.m. Friday reported a burglar had ransacked his office building and that tools and computers were missing.

POINT REYES STATION – A red sedan overturned on Highway 1 at 7:42 a.m. last Thursday. No one was injured, but the car leaked gasoline onto the highway. Deputies and firefighters responded.

LAGUNITAS – A woman at 10:08 a.m. last Thursday complained about a second woman with two adult daughters living on property without "proper bathroom facilities." She said there was "sewage on the property" and that this is an "ongoing problem." A deputy gave her advice.

BOLINAS – A man at 12:20 p.m. last Thursday told deputies he had been walking back from the beach on Brighton Avenue when a second man with a green Dodge pickup truck said "not to walk by him or he would harm him," a dispatcher reported. The suspect at 12:22 p.m. called deputies to say that three different people were "operating a non-licensed auto-repair business on the public street, leaving debris, oil etc." A deputy could not find the suspect.

BOLINAS – A resident at 5:28 p.m. last Thursday told deputies his 14-year-old son had been walking a dog in a driveway shared with a neighbor when the "neighbor threw rocks at the dog and swore at [the son] when he asked the neighbor to stop." A deputy gave the resident advice about getting a court to issue a restraining order against his neighbor.

OLEMA VALLEY – A woman at 8:49 p.m. last Wednesday reported a calf was loose beside Highway 1 just north of the cemetery.

TOMALES – A Highway 1 merchant at 10:09 p.m. last Wednesday reported that three young men had been pounding on her door and then running away. She asked that a deputy escort her to her car.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 9:53 a.m. last Wednesday asked deputies about laws covering marijuana cultivation. A deputy "provided information."

STINSON BEACH – A firefighter at 4:58 p.m. last Wednesday reported a possibly drunk man in his 40s was being "combative" and had taken "a swing" at another firefighter outside a store. He was last seen heading toward the beach.

MUIR BEACH – A resident at 5:29 p.m. last Wednesday reported a check had been stolen from his mailbox last month and then deposited. In addition, the thief may have taken a new credit card from the mailbox because "the account was used for purchases." The suspect lives in Mill Valley, and police there have also taken a fraud report, the man said.

BOLINAS – A man on Wharf Road at 11:42 p.m. Oct. 25 reported a woman was harassing him. A dispatcher noted the man "is demanding a deputy respond to [a bar] right now." The suspect was gone when a deputy arrived.

BOLINAS – A resident at 1:19 p.m. Oct. 25 reported a refrigerator had been dumped on her property. A deputy "found an accumulation of refuse on the property. The refrigerator in question is next to another refrigerator she said she was using as storage [and that she] also has co-tenants that are dumping on her property." The deputy took a report.

BOLINAS – A vandal did $1,000 damage to a Ford Ranger parked on Brighton Avenue, breaking two windows, a mirror, and two taillights.

WOODACRE – A deputy at Railroad Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:51 p.m. Oct. 24 cited a motorist on charges of driving with a suspended license.
