STINSON BEACH A deputy at 6:30 p.m. took a man into protective custody because of intoxication and transported him to a detoxification center.
BOLINAS A woman at 11:30 p.m. told deputies that she lost her purse containing $75. She said she may have left it on top of her car when she drove away from the Peoples Store.
FOREST KNOLLS A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident at 6:30 p.m. notified deputies she had received a phone call from her ex-boyfriend, who apologized for things he would do in the future. She inferred from his ambiguous comment that he was threatening to harm her new boyfriend.
STINSON BEACH A woman on Highway 1 reported a bonfire near Bolinas Lagoon. Park Service police asked deputies to handle the matter, but officers could not find the fire.
SAN GERONIMO A man reported he had let his nine-year-old son visit his ex-wife in Texas, with whom he has joint custody of the boy, but his ex-wife had not returned the son.
FOREST KNOLLS Deputies on Sunday received a complaint that a white Ford Mustang with a red-and-white-checkered bottom was "tearing up and down the street." The caller said the driver may have just been released from San Quentin. A second caller subsequently complained about the motorists "reckless driving" and described him as in his late 40s.
SAN GERONIMO A deputy assisted firefighters when two callers reported seeing a bonfire on Wild Iris Road at 8 p.m.
TOMALES A Valley Ford-Franklin School Road resident at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, said he heard men on a movie set "yell as if they got bit." He noted there were six dogs on the property.
OLEMA A woman who lives along Highway 1 complained at 10:40 p.m. about loud music and loud cars on the highway. A deputy admonished some people to keep the noise down.
MUIR BEACH A resident at 12:05 a.m. Thanksgiving Day reported that a female friend of hers had been tailgated by a car with its lights out all the way from Tam Junction to Sunset Way in Muir Beach. Deputies could not find the tailgater.
LAGUNITAS An Arroyo Road resident at 1 a.m. Thanksgiving Day reported hearing two gunshots. From her home, which is behind the home of family members, she tried to call the main house but got no answer, she said.
TOCALOMA A woman at 2 a.m. Thanksgiving Day reported a motorist with a car parked beside Sir Francis Drake Boulevard had tried to flag her down. A deputy could not find the motorist.
POINT REYES STATION A firefighter at 10:40 a.m. reported a horse was loose on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road a mile east of town. A deputy later reported: "Horse sent home."
BOLINAS Deputies reported that a Marine Way resident was complaining that her address on the dispatchers 911 screen is wrong. They added that the woman had called to report a man hiding in her garage. Deputies next reported that the man subsequently got on the phone and said he had just been chased by four juveniles intent on inflicting battery on him. They had already thrown beer cans at him, he said.
INVERNESS PARK A man said he saw two men wearing camouflage and holding rifles beside a small, black Ford pickup truck parked in the area of Drakes View Drive and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. A deputy found the truck but not the men. They noted this is duck season.
STINSON BEACH Deputies at 3 p.m. received a report that there was a woman on Highway 1 five miles south of town. Deputies noted the highway is closed in both directions while Caltrans builds retaining walls and that she was three miles south of the northern roadblock.
TOMALES A deputy found a burned vehicle in a ditch on the Valley Ford-Franklin School Road. The vehicles license plates were missing, and the officer tagged it to be towed away.
BOLINAS A merchant at 10:40 p.m. reported that a man he recognized had just broken the windows of his business and stolen tools.
WOODACRE A woman at 11 a.m. reported vandalism to her vehicle.
PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD A man told deputies that someone had been tampering with his vehicle and that he was afraid to move it. An officer gave him advice.
SAN GERONIMO A woman reported that for the past three months a man has been living in a black pickup truck, which he parks behind a beige van when he sleeps. The van is parked along San Geronimo Valley Drive, she said.
November 22, 2000 Sheriff's Calls
TOMALES - A motorist at noon Wednesday complained to deputies about speeding vehicles and vehicles running stop signs around Tomales High. She said one student driver had just run her vehicle off the roadway at Irvine and Tomales-Petaluma roads. He then laughed at her, she said. Sheriff's Lt. John Brunslik responded that he would meet with the principal with an eye toward getting more sheriff's and Highway Patrol officers around the school.
INVERNESS - A thief stole three cords of firewood from an man's residence on Rannoch Way.
INVERNESS - A 53-year-old man, who had been reported missing by his mother, returned home last Thursday, she reported. He told deputies he was fine, intended to return home that day, and didn't realize anyone thought he was overdue.
INVERNESS - A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident at 10:30 a.m. told deputies that for two or three weeks he has been receiving one to three calls per day to which no one responds when he answers.
POINT REYES STATION - A weekend vandal broke five exterior-walkway lights at West Marin School.
POINT REYES STATION - A man called deputies from Mendocino County to say his car had broken down and that he would be delayed returning home to his wife. A deputy relayed the message to her.
STINSON BEACH - A Calle del Sierra resident at 2 a.m. complained of loud music. A deputy contacted another resident, who was responsible for the music, and the second resident turned the music off.
LAGUNITAS - A man on Spring Road reported that his toolbox containing more than $500 worth of tools had been stolen from his residence while he was away. He said he would check with family members to see if any of them had taken the tools.
WOODACRE - A woman at 8:30 p.m. reported the father of their son was at her residence despite a court-issued temporary restraining order. She said he had been verbally abusive and had grabbed her. Deputies said the man was evasive and abrupt when first interviewed but called them back at 12:35 p.m.
STINSON BEACH - A man at 9 a.m. notified deputies he had just dropped his child off in front of a schoolbus that was unloading students when a female motorist in a blue van passed the bus at 50 mph en route to a Stinson Beach residence. The man asked for extra patrols at the school.
MARSHALL - Sebastopol Police notified deputies that a Highway 1 resident is wanted on five warrants in Sonoma County. The warrants all involve drug cases, and her bail has been set at $95,000.
OLEMA - A woman at 9:40 p.m. reported that an elderly man was having difficulty breathing at Sacred Heart Church. A rescue helicopter was dispatched.
NICASIO - A woman at a horse stable requested extra patrols in the area because of a prowler on the property.
FOREST KNOLLS - A Tamal Road resident on Tuesday asked for advice in dealing with ongoing violations of a court-issued temporary restraining order. On Thursday, she reported another TRO violation.
WOODACRE - A Fire Road resident at 2:30 p.m. reported receiving harassing phone calls and told deputies he was not happy with officers' procedures for dealing with them. He said he would call the district attorney and hung up.
FOREST KNOLLS - At the request of a parole officer, a deputy checked on a Forest Knolls resident at 4:45 p.m.
FOREST KNOLLS - A resident at 1 p.m. claimed that a court-issued temporary restraining order had been violated by a man and the actions of the man's dog.
MUIR BEACH - A deputy at 12:40 p.m. Saturday cited five people at Little Beach on charges of public nudity.
SAN GERONIMO - A deputy on Forester Drive at 2:15 p.m. cited a motorist on charges of evading a traffic stop.
POINT REYES STATION - Sheriff's Lt. John Brunslik, commander of the West Marin Substation, has asked The Light to let readers know that a campaign to remove abandoned cars is underway in West Marin. Lt. Brunslik said the Sheriff's Office will arrange to have abandoned vehicles towed off private property, as well as public property, if the landowner signs a release. November 16, 2000 Sheriff's Calls
BOLINAS An Elm Road resident at 9:30 a.m. told deputies her boyfriend had smashed the windows of her home and assaulted her. She refused to perform a citizens arrest, but deputies took him to the county crisis unit for evaluation after he made suicidal remarks.
DILLON BEACH A nighttime vandal broke a back window on a vehicle parked at a campground. The victim, a man from Tracy, also noted there were dents and holes in the hood, dents on the roof, the sideview mirrors were broken off, and the vehicles left tail-light was broken.
BOLINAS A Wharf Road merchant at 10:30 a.m. reported someone had stolen the previous evenings receipts, which were estimated at between $250 and $400.
TOMALES Marijuana was found in the car of a high school student.
POINT REYES STATION A deputy at 2 p.m. arrested a man north of town on two warrants.
POINT REYES STATION A deputy north of town cited a boy for driving without a license.
OLEMA A deputy at 6:45 p.m. shot a deer that had been injured in traffic on Highway 1.
POINT REYES STATION Deputies at 7:30 p.m. received a report of a non-injury traffic accident on Highway 1 south of the Green Bridge. Neither the Sheriffs Office nor the Highway Patrol could find the driver.
STINSON BEACH A deputy at 7:30 p.m. assisted firefighters after a vehicle overturned on Panoramic Highway. The driver fled into town, but a check of the cars registration indicated it belonged to a Francisco Patio resident.
WOODACRE A woman at 9 p.m. reported that four or five juveniles were playing with some sort of "fire batons" in the area of Railroad Avenue and Park Street. She could not tell whether the youngsters had fireworks or burning sticks. The woman said her husband was going out to talk with them. The juveniles were gone when a deputy arrived on the scene.
POINT REYES STATION A woman at 1 p.m. reported losing her wallet somewhere around the bank. She said the wallet contained her health-insurance card and ATM card.
FOREST KNOLLS An Aztec Avenue resident at 9:30 p.m. notified deputies he had heard an explosion that "lit up all the windows" of his home. He said no fire was visible and that the explosion might have been fireworks in the area of the town park.
INVERNESS A vehicle caught fire at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Vision Road at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, temporarily closing the intersection. Once firefighters extinguished the blaze, the vehicle was dragged off the pavement, and the owner said he would have it hauled away on a flatbed truck in the morning.
MUIR BEACH A Pacific Way resident at 2 p.m. complained to deputies that there was a naked man on the north end of the tidepools sitting in a crevice. "He is very near a lot of small children," deputies quoted the woman as saying. She added that he was in his mid-to-late 30s, had collar-length hair, and was "smiling a lot." A deputy went to a cove known as Little Beach at the north end of the main beach and cited a man on charges of public nudity. Editors note: Townspeople have been divided over whether skinnydipping should be allowed at Little Beach. At beaches like Little Beach, where casual skinnydipping periodically occurs, a deputy usually gets involved only when someone is offended; by law, the deputy cannot be the offended party.
INVERNESS When a couple returned from vacation, they found a womans opal pendant and a large cameo both missing. A deputy noted the grand theft could be related to a previous arrest.
INVERNESS PARK A woman at 4:30 p.m. notified deputies she was concerned about her husband, who had driven off while distraught over family matters.
INVERNESS PARK A man at 7 p.m. told deputies he was worried about his 18-year-old cousin from Turlock. He said her parents were present and wanted to take her home, but she didnt want to go. He said he was concerned for all parties involved. A deputy gave them advice, and the parents returned to Turlock without their daughter.
WOODACRE A woman at 12:45 p.m. asked a deputy if her husband had violated a court-issued temporary restraining order by returning home and changing his clothes before he was served with the court papers. She said the TRO was issued for spousal abuse.
BOLINAS A woman at 8:25 a.m. told deputies she and her mother had just gotten off the phone and that the mother had said her boyfriend was present. The woman feared a verbal disturbance or domestic abuse might occur. She said domestic abuse had occurred in the past.
INVERNESS A townswoman notified deputies that she had seen two men in hunting clothes and carrying rifles in a truck on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard between Inverness and Inverness Park. She said the men were both in their 50s. A deputy could not find them.
STINSON BEACH A woman reported seeing a 30-year-old resident driving a green pickup truck on the beach at high speeds. She said his license was suspended and that he had almost hit someone.
SAN GERONIMO A woman at 11:15 p.m. notified deputies there was a Corvette abandoned in the middle of the intersection of Nicasio Valley Road and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. She added that there was clothing lying on the pavement. A deputy, however, found no clothing in the intersection and no signs of a traffic accident. The officer reported that the car may have run out of gas.

FALLON A rental company notified deputies that a Caltrans-owned detour sign at Highway 1 and the Fallon-Two Rock Road had been vandalized. The solar-power sign had been pulled open and its circuitry damaged.
POINT REYES STATION A thief at 3:15 p.m. stole a Sausalito mans bicycle that had been parked on the main street.
POINT REYES STATION A deputy at 1:45 a.m. found a Jeep that had been stolen in Alameda county a week earlier. It had been stripped and left along Highway 1 north of town.
STINSON BEACH A man at 2 p.m. turned in a womans checkbook, which he found alongside Panoramic Highway.
STINSON BEACH A British citizen inadvertently left his briefcase at the front desk of an inn. When he returned for it 20 minutes later, it was gone. The briefcase contained £1,000 ($1,436), a passport, a British drivers license, and business papers.
BOLINAS At the request of a probation officer, a deputy at noon arrested a boy on the Olema-Bolinas Road for an alleged parole violation.
STINSON BEACH Last week, a woman reported that someone had stolen her sons two guitars, together worth $1,600. She and her son subsequently searched for the guitars at pawn shops and music stores. They finally found one of the instruments in a Petaluma music store. Two days later, the merchant notified deputies that the person who had sold him the guitar was now trying to sell him a second one. Lawmen then arrested the alleged thief on charges of possession of stolen property. A deputy noted the suspect had recently been a houseguest in the victims home.
NICASIO A Nicasio Valley Road woman at 9:30 p.m. said her drunk husband, who was upset because she wants a divorce, had grabbed her by the arm. She asked deputies for advice, and her husband was later arrested on "battery charges," a deputy reported.
WOODACRE A burglar targeted six vehicles on Carson Road, stealing $700 in tools from one mans truck and ransacking his car but taking nothing, he reported Monday morning. A woman reported a door lock on her car had been broken and a stereo stolen. Deputies noted four other vehicles were also ransacked.
NICASIO A woman on Nicasio Valley Road asked about getting a court-issued restraining order against her husband. A deputy gave her advice.
TOMALES Deputies at 10:30 p.m. asked the Highway Patrol to determine whether a woman, who was screaming and shouting on Middle Road, was a drunk driver. The woman eventually calmed down and sat in a driveway. The CHP dispatched a patrolman all the way from Cazadero north of the Russian River. When he arrived, he arrested the woman, but only on charges of public drunkenness.
FOREST KNOLLS A woman reported that a nighttime vandal had spray painted graffiti on a Montezuma Road store. The woman, who does not work for the store, said the vandalism was extensive.
INVERNESS A woman living on Callender Way complained about parking problems. A deputy gave her advice.
POINT REYES STATION Deputies at 11 a.m. received word that 20 to 30 motorcyclists were driving recklessly on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road at speeds over 100 mph.
STINSON BEACH A Seadrift Road resident told deputies he had confronted a neighbor, whom he accused of trespassing on the beach in front of the mans house. He said a verbal disturbance ensued, and the second man made "veiled" threats.
TOMALES A deputy at 4:40 p.m. found a cow on the pavement at Estero Road and Valley Ford-Franklin School Road. The officer coaxed the cow back into its pasture.
POINT REYES STATION Firefighters at 9:20 a.m. notified deputies about a report of a traffic accident on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road. An officer could not find a crash.
WOODACRE A man at 5:45 p.m. complained about amplified music coming from Garden Way. A deputy contacted the coordinator of an event who agreed to move the music inside.
MARSHALL A man told deputies he was driving a motorhome on Highway 1 with his wife following in a Chevrolet. When he stopped at 6:15 p.m. for her to catch up, she didnt.
STINSON BEACH A deputy at 6:30 p.m. was summoned to help settle a dispute between two families on Calle del Arroyo. The officer gave them advice.
LAGUNITAS A Cintura Avenue man complained about loud music at 9:30 p.m. A deputy contacted the host of a birthday party who said the music would be turned off after one more song.
FOREST KNOLLS A man at 10:45 p.m. reported a 32-year-old man, who had been in an earlier disturbance, had threatened to go home and get a gun. However, the first man said the 32 year old hadnt left yet.
SAN GERONIMO A resident reported a three year old had been left for an unknown amount of time in a van parked on Meadow Way. County firefighters responded.
POINT REYES STATION A woman at 10:10 a.m. reported her mother had left her purse at a phone booth.
TOMALES A citizen asked for extra patrols when students are arriving at school and going home. The caller said drivers routinely run the stop sign at Highway 1 and First Street.
MARSHALL A woman at 11:25 a.m. reported that a car had run off Highway 1 between Nicks Cove and Ocean Roar. Although the driver was conscious, medics responded.
STINSON BEACH A man living on Belvedere Ave at 12:45 p.m. reported a possible credit-card scam. He said a caller wanted him to transfer funds from his account to another credit card company and asked for the mans credit-card number. The man refused the request, and a deputy gave him advice.
BOLINAS A Brighton Avenue resident at 3 p.m. asked deputies to make extra patrols around her house. She said someone has been going inside and taking showers. A deputy gave her advice.
BOLINAS An Alder Road resident said she was concerned about letting a recreational vehicle leave her property because she was concerned that something had happened overnight to the two men who own the RV. A deputy gave her advice.
OLEMA A clerk for an inn reported at 8 p.m. that a drunk and apparently homeless man, 59, with a hook for his left arm had asked for a room and become upset when he found the rates too high for him. He allegedly told the clerk, "Youre going to die for this." He then walked out. The next morning he was arrested on two warrants: for allegedly violating parole and making a threat.
CHILENO VALLEY Firefighters at 11:15 a.m. passed along a report that a haytruck had overturned on Chileno Valley Road, blocking both lanes. A deputy found that the big rig had not overturned but had merely lost its load of hay.
WOODACRE A citizen reported that a blue pickup truck had struck a deer at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Railroad Avenue. The citizen said there was blood on the driver and that it wasnt clear whether the blood came from the deer. Medics were dispatched to check on him.
INVERNESS PARK A Portola Avenue resident at 2 p.m. told deputies that a car driven by another Inverness Park woman had struck her dog, which was now in surgery. She said the second woman did not believe her car had struck the dog. The first woman said she would contact the Highway Patrol.
MUIR BEACH A juvenile reported that a car had flipped on Franks Valley Road at 3:25 p.m. and that there was a man standing outside the car.
FOREST KNOLLS A Guadalupe Place resident at 3:40 p.m. reported she had lost her cell phone in Forest Knolls or Point Reyes Station two weeks ago.
INVERNESS A caller reported that she had been assaulted in Modesto by her father. She asked deputies for extra patrols around her lodgings lest her father try to find her.
PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD A man at the movies at 7:40 p.m. called a babysitter at his house and learned that a woman, whose car had broken down in front of his house, was there. He told deputies he was nervous about having a stranger in his house and that a male tutor, who was visiting the house, would remain until a deputy arrived.
SAN GERONIMO A man at 11:30 p.m. complained about a taxicab driving recklessly and crossing over double lines. A deputy cited the cabby.
OLEMA A man reported a cow was on the pavement at Highway 1 and Bear Valley Road. A deputy contacted a rancher, and the cow was corralled.
MUIR BEACH A Highway Patrol officer reported seeing smoke and flames on the beach below Highway 1 at 2 a.m. He later reported the fire now appeared smaller and not a threat.
POINT REYES STATION Deputies at 7:30 p.m. on Halloween received word of several juveniles on the roof of a main street store. An officer gave advice.
POINT REYES STATION A boy and his friends were pelted with apples and other objects by a large group of teenagers on Third Street at 7:40 p.m. Halloween. A parent of the boy asked that the teenagers be admonished.
BOLINAS A merchant at 8:40 p.m. on Halloween reported a large crowd outside was throwing eggs at his restaurant. He asked that the crowd be moved along.
WOODACRE A woman at 9 p.m. on Halloween reported that juveniles were setting off fireworks. The problem was abated.
POINT REYES STATION A large group of juveniles at 9:50 p.m. on Halloween threw eggs at West Marin School and also egged a car. A deputy could not find the juveniles.
SAN GERONIMO A woman at 11 p.m. reported her husband, 41, had struck her during an argument. She said she struck him back and "kicked him out of the house." He was now at a Woodacre business, she said, but was walking home.
FOREST KNOLLS A caller at 8:40 a.m. asked a deputy who was responsible for the streetlight on the corner being out. The caller was also concerned about a dead tree that might fall into a creek and cause damage during a storm. A deputy determined the streetlight appeared to belong to PG&E.
DILLON BEACH A woman at 10:45 a.m. said she believed her young daughter had been sexually harassed by one of their employees.
DILLON BEACH Someone broke a wooden barrier on the property of a Lanai Lane resident.

November 2, 2000 Sheriff's Calls
POINT REYES STATION A burglar broke into the Overlook Road home of round-the-world walker John Francis, who consented to have his name used here, and stole the sketchbook-journal of his travels. A $500 reward has been offered for its return, no questions asked. Several of Francis friends, including Light editor Dave Mitchell, have agreed to act as go-betweens.
MARSHALL A man at 2:30 p.m. reported that a drunken man was waist-deep in Tomales Bay following a domestic dispute near Nicks Cove. The caller subsequently reported the drunken man was now chest-deep, but no one was helping him, fearing he would drown anyone who came near him.
BOLINAS A girl ran away from her foster father but was later located by her attorney and returned to a foster home.
BOLINAS Deputies reported a man violated a courts restraining order by mailing a letter to his "victim."
SAN GERONIMO A resident at 11:10 p.m. complained about loud music from a trailer park and said it was an ongoing problem.
CHILENO VALLEY A woman at 2 a.m. notified deputies there were two black Angus cows on Chileno Valley Road. She said fog made them especially hard to see. A deputy contacted a rancher who herded the cows back into a field, but the officer noted, "Theres a big hole in the fence."
TOMALES A taxi cab company at 3 a.m. reported driving a woman to Cerini Road and being stiffed for most of the fare. The cabby said she had given him $20 at the start of the trip and promised he would be paid the rest when she got to Tomales. But the fare was $168, and her family did not have enough cash to cover the rest.
STINSON BEACH A Buena Vista Avenue resident at 11 p.m. reported that a burglar had stolen her sons two guitars, which are valued at $1,600, from their house.

WOODACRE A man at 7:15 p.m. notified deputies that a neighbor had come to his door and said the mans son drives too fast. The neighbor threatened to hurt the son if he were to ever hit the neighbors car while driving recklessly or too fast. A deputy gave the man advice.
LAGUNITAS A woman on Cintura Avenue at 7:40 p.m. saw three boys "fiddling" with the lock to a church door. When she yelled at them, she told deputies, the boys ran away. A deputy could not find them.
MUIR BEACH A volunteer fireman on Sunset Way reported that a car was parked such that it left insufficient room for emergency vehicles to get by. The fireman noted there is supposed to be 12 feet of clearance. He said someone was looking for the cars owner.
OLEMA A man at 9:25 p.m. contacted an innkeeper because of loud music from a band. The innkeeper said the band was ignoring requests to turn their music down. A deputy took care of the problem.
BOLINAS A man, 45, reported that a passenger in a vehicle had thrown a bottle through the mans front window. The man said he had allowed the passenger to spend a night in the mans house, and the passenger later accused him of taking money from the passengers wallet. Four days later, a woman complained at 1:45 a.m. about the man playing loud music. When she went to his house and asked him to turn it down, he became belligerent, she said, adding that her roommate was now talking to him.
SAN GERONIMO A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident at 2:20 a.m. notified deputies she was having problems with a couple of party crashers who initially refused to leave. She later reported they were walking away while drinking beer, and she asked deputies to check the area so the two didnt vandalize any vehicles as they left.
FOREST KNOLLS A Montezuma Avenue woman at 8:40 a.m. asked for advice in dealing with a neighbor who was harassing her. A deputy gave her advice.
SAN GERONIMO A San Geronimo Valley Drive resident at 9:40 a.m. reported receiving annoying phone calls from a man, saying that some of the calls threatened him. A deputy gave the resident advice.
SAN GERONIMO A motorist at 9:40 a.m. told deputies he was stopped at a crosswalk on Lagunitas School Road when a silver Chevrolet passed him and almost struck a child.
STINSON BEACH A man on Calle del Mar reported having a quarrel with his ex-wife about their children and a court order against him. He had the children with him and asked a deputy for advice. The ex-wife had already left, he said.
POINT REYES STATION A Cypress Road resident at 9:10 a.m. reported that a small limb broke off a tree and landed on the windshield of a neighbors vehicle, breaking the glass. He said the two had exchanged information, but he needed assistance to determine whether the tree was his.
STINSON BEACH A woman at 11:30 a.m. told deputies she believed the man living next door had put brush in the crawl space under her house. She said she was receiving ongoing threats and that he has caused her problems in the past. A deputy gave her advice.
SAN GERONIMO A man called officers to say that when he had been taken to a hospital two weeks earlier, he had left his keys in the ignition of his car. He said he was now at his parents house in San Luis Obispo and asked that a deputy check if his car was still at his home or if he needed to make a stolen-car report.
INVERNESS A merchant at 12:30 p.m. reported that a female driver in a parking lot "was acting very crazy." She said the driver was waving her arms, driving in circles, and trying to stop at high speeds. A deputy found the motorists car parked at a garage and arrested her on a warrant.
POINT REYES STATION A software developer, who a week earlier claimed his partner had locked him out of their office and was stealing documents, told deputies he has some civil papers they should see. An officer gave him advice.
TOMALES A woman reported that a second woman had been "talking very crazy" to her and then drove off on Highway 1. The first woman said she thought "something may be wrong" with the second woman.
INVERNESS The fire department reported that someone, who appeared to be drunk and homeless, had walked into the firehouse. A deputy advised the person.
INVERNESS A resident at 11:10 p.m. reported there was a man sitting on the floor of the postoffice talking to himself. The resident said he was suspicious of the man and thought he should move along. A deputy could not find the man.
SAN GERONIMO A deputy at 2:15 a.m. arrested a suspect on a Nevada warrant for allegedly passing bad checks.
FOREST KNOLLS A Montezuma Avenue resident at 8 a.m. complained that his neighbors rooster crows at 5 a.m. every day and that he "cant take it anymore." He asked to know what could be done about the rooster.
SAN GERONIMO A Meadow Way resident requested extra patrols around his house, saying that the previous day various items on his property including a bicycle had been moved around.
WOODACRE A Redwood Drive resident at 3:20 p.m. notified deputies that two men on dirt bikes had been speeding up and down the towns streets in a reckless manner. They were now tearing up a hillside above Redwood Drive, she said.
POINT REYES STATION A woman on Highway 1 at 9:45 p.m. asked for advice in dealing with harassing phone calls shes been receiving. A deputy gave her advice.
NICASIO An Old Rancheria Road resident at 10 p.m. reported noises outside and said they were an ongoing problem. She said it sounded like two men with a metal ladder and that she believed she knew who one of them was. The man, 41, had previously said the woman has been making false accusations about him.
MUIR BEACH A Sunset Way resident told deputies she was irate about a suspicious person on the nude portion of the beach. She said she had already called Park Service police, but they had told her the nude part of the beach is not within their jurisdiction. When a deputy went to the scene, the person was gone.
WOODACRE Vandals on Central Avenue scratched five vehicles.
POINT REYES STATION Sheriffs Lt. John Brunslik, commander of the West Marin Substation, asked The Light to let readers know that a campaign to remove abandoned cars is underway in West Marin. Lt. Brunslik said the Sheriffs Office will arrange to have abandoned vehicles towed off private property, as well as public property, if the landowner signs a release.
