September 30, 1999 Sheriff's Calls
TOMALES - A man at Keys Creek found a backpack belonging to a Point Reyes Station youth. A deputy returned the backpack to its owner and noted it had been found at the scene of a traffic accident.
BOLINAS - A merchant at 10 p.m. told deputies of receiving two reports from citizens that a drunk was "trashing" a car downtown. A deputy determined no car was being trashed and the suspect was not drunk.
PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD - A deputy at 8 a.m. checked the identification of a person pushing a bicycle. The bicyclist's head was draped with a blanket.
SAN GERONIMO - A woman told deputies that glass and part of a vehicle's bumper were creating a traffic hazard at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Nicasio Valley Road. A deputy noted a car had "flipped over" at that location the previous day.
BOLINAS - A merchant on Wharf Road told deputies he wanted to file a report against the State Board of Equalization. A deputy gave him advice.
BOLINAS - A woman living on Fern Road reported having a quarrel with her son, who had been verbally abusing her. She said he had now driven off. The problem was abated before a deputy arrived on the scene.
TOMALES - A woman reported that she had given a tenant on Middle Road a 30-day notice to move out, but it appears he is not planning to move. She asked a deputy for advice and received it.
TOMALES - Firefighters asked a deputy to respond to the scene of a traffic accident involving a vehicle that had run off Highway 1. Firefighters said two people were being transported to a hospital.
POINT REYES STATION - A woman at 11 p.m. complained about a loud party on Mesa Road. She said the party had been underway for nine hours. When a deputy checked, the host said the party would end in 15 minutes.
POINT REYES STATION - A deputy at 9:40 p.m. found a pickup truck parked partly in a ditch along Highway 1 north of town near Millerton Point. The motorist said he needed a jumpstart and was waiting for a friend. The deputy checked to see if the man was drunk and concluded he was not.
WOODACRE - A Redwood Drive man reported that during the night a vandal using a large marker had written abusive words on the side of the man's pickup truck.
BOLINAS - A man on Wharf Road at 8 a.m. complained of people camping in tents on the beach. A deputy dispersed the campers.
LAGUNITAS - A Dickson Road resident complained that a tree company was using her property for access to other private property where trees were to be cut down. A deputy gave her advice, and the problem was abated.
SAN GERONIMO - A worker at a building site complained that protesters were nearly causing traffic accidents by distracting drivers on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. He also said he was concerned about the amount of noise they were creating.
PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD - A man reported seeing a large group of people with rifles; several trucks were parked nearby. One person was pointing a large-caliber rifle away from the road, he said.
BOLINAS - A girl at 4:40 p.m. reported an unattended fire on the beach.
POINT REYES STATION - A man with questions about his vehicle license was told by a deputy to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles, pay his fees, and get a permit to drive to a smog-check station.
MUIR BEACH - The Highway Patrol told deputies of receiving a cell phone call from someone on Seascape Drive who was complaining about 150 people crashing a high-school-age party. The CHP was told there were no major problems yet, but then the phone call was disconnected.
STINSON BEACH - A man complained that a group of loud drunks in a nearby home were refusing to quiet down. A deputy at 1:15 a.m. advised the group to keep the noise down. However, the man called again to say that as soon as the deputy left, the noise resumed. A deputy then dispersed the group.
NICASIO - A Point Reyes Station man found a woman's wallet, and a deputy returned it to her.
FOREST KNOLLS - A Montezuma Avenue woman at 11 a.m. complained that her driveway was blocked by a pickup belonging to another woman. Deputies said the problem resulted from a dispute over a man, and noted the second woman has a history of fights with the man, who was not present.
MARSHALL - A Bolinas woman's purse was found along Highway 1 and returned to her.
POINT REYES STATION - Occupants of a car received moderate injuries in a solo-vehicle accident at Highway 1 and the levee road. Deputies noted all were in stable condition, but one victim was transported to a hospital.
NICASIO - Citizens saw a vehicle about to lose its trailer at Lucas Valley and Nicasio Valley roads with the driver unaware of what was about to happen. A Highway Patrol officer and a deputy searched for the vehicle and trailer.
FOREST KNOLLS - A woman at 10:20 a.m. reported a group was hanging out in a deserted house in the vicinity of Aztec Avenue and Guadalupe Place.
CHILENO VALLEY - Dispatchers notified West Marin deputies that there may have been an unreported burglary of a man's pickup. Deputies determined that the man had moved out of the Chileno Valley and notified lawmen in Santa Rosa.
POINT REYES STATION - A businessman at 11:20 a.m. complained that a woman parked in front of his office was having trouble starting her car, and its fumes were blowing into his business. He asked that deputies have her call for a repair.
BOLINAS - Deputies at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 21 were notified of a loud boom on the Olema-Bolinas Road, after which the surrounding area was blacked out. Officers responded to the scene and notified firefighters.
BOLINAS - A deputy at 11 a.m. got a call from a Wharf Road merchant and overheard two male voices in the background. "What are you doing in my store?" the merchant could be heard asking. "Do not talk to me like this," said the other person. The problem was abated before a deputy arrived on the scene; the officer attributed the incident to a "misunderstanding."
FOREST KNOLLS - A man reported there
was a couch in the middle of the roadway at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and
Castro Street. A deputy noted there was no need to summon the Highway Patrol
and that the couch had been removed from the roadway.
September 23, 1999 Sheriff's Calls
WOODACRE - A deputy on White's Hill at 2:45 a.m. arrested a man wanted on a warrant from Reno.
BOLINAS - A San Rafael girl said she lost her wallet on a beach off Mesa Road during a rave.
LAGUNITAS - A man asked a deputy for advice in dealing with protesters at the entrance to a construction site.
POINT REYES STATION - A state park maintenance worker reported hearing seven gunshots along Highway 1 at 1 p.m.
BOLINAS - A 45-year-old woman, who had apparently been injured in a fall during an assault near the beach, walked into a clinic on Wharf Road. She did not know her assailant.
BOLINAS - A resident complained that a tractor driver who had no county permit was grading his own property at Cedar Road and Ocean Parkway. The tractor operator said he was just clearing brush, but the resident did not believe him. A deputy spoke with the county Planning Department and then gave the resident advice.
POINT REYES STATION - Two "Loose Gravel" signs mounted on saw-horses were found at Highway 1 and Campolindo Drive. The roadsigns were apparently stolen in Sonoma County, and a maintenance worker there told West Marin deputies he would have the signs picked up.
BOLINAS - A man at 9:15 p.m. complained about a bonfire that was producing a "large amount of sparks." Deputies found a small fire on the beach, and the people around it agreed to keep the fire small.
WOODACRE - Deputies at 6:45 p.m. were notified that a girl may have run away from her Railroad Avenue home and was in San Francisco with her boyfriend. The girl returned home at 10:05 p.m.
INVERNESS - An Aberdeen Way man told deputies that a thief had stolen two vehicle covers.
BOLINAS - A woman on Wharf Road notified deputies at 9:30 p.m. that a man, who had been drinking, hit her in the ear. At 8 a.m. the following day, she reported he had now taken her backpack.
POINT REYES STATION - A deputy at 8 p.m. shot a deer that had been injured in traffic on Highway 1 at Cypress Road.
SAN GERONIMO - A man at 11:45 a.m. complained about kids throwing apples at cars passing by on San Geronimo Valley Drive. A deputy contacted three juveniles and their parents.
SAN GERONIMO - A Forest Knolls man at 1:30 p.m. complained to deputies that a pickup truck had made several passes through a picket line videotaping the protesters. He told officers the motorist was "driving a little erratic." A deputy could not find the motorist and gave advice to the protesters.
POINT REYES STATION - A man went to the sheriff's substation to reclaim a lost wallet but was told the wallet was not being held there.
INVERNESS PARK - A Drake's View Drive resident told deputies her 23-year-old son was intoxicated and asking for medical assistance.
LAGUNITAS - A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident at 12:45 a.m. complained about a loud party nextdoor with people running across his driveway. He said such events are an ongoing problem and that other neighbors are also upset
FOREST KNOLLS - A man on Morelos Avenue reported that a white dog had attacked him. He said the dog is one of three living at a house on Morelos and that he wanted them "removed today." The Humane Society told deputies they had received information that the man had threatened to shoot the dogs. Deputies, however, noted the man has no history of weapons or legal problems.
WOODACRE - A bicyclist hit a parked car at Railroad Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Deputies were unable to find the bicyclist, who had walked to county Fire Department headquarters.
WOODACRE - A Castle Rock Avenue resident told deputies she believes her ex-roommate is entering her house and stealing kitchenware, tools, and computer software. A deputy who checked noted her roommate had moved out a year ago; in addition, "her ivy died, and [her] modem quit."
SAN GERONIMO - A man working at a house along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard reported $250 worth of tools and other small items had been stolen.
NICASIO - A motorcyclist ran off Nicasio Valley Road and hit a tree. Deputies notified AAA it would need 50 feet of cable to reach the motorcycle, and the company responded it was not equipped to tow motorcycles.
NICASIO - A woman notified deputies that a car was parked near the reservoir with its motor running and its driver locked out. A deputy could not find the car.
CHILENO VALLEY - A resident notified deputies that a second man had tried to take a truck from the resident's property but found it doesn't run. He said the second man was now attempting to remove parts from the truck. The second man had also verbally threatened the resident's girlfriend, the resident added.
NICASIO - A man heard a shotgun blast near Lucas Valley Road.
LAGUNITAS - A resident complained of two cars parked with their streetside doors open. He said one car was on Alta Avenue and the other was on West Cintura Avenue. A deputy located one of the cars and concluded its door had been left open by accident.
INVERNESS - Deputies received a report of vandalism on Park Avenue but concluded there was no merit to the report. The unspecified problem was "most likely done by county Public Works, who is responsible," a deputy reported.
INVERNESS - A woman reported that three pieces of PVC piping had been taken from Park Avenue.
OLEMA VALLEY - A deputy, a Highway Patrolman, and a Park Service ranger provided traffic control at the scene of a wildfire along Highway 1 a quarter-mile south of Hagmaier Pond.
BOLINAS - A man at 8 a.m. complained about people sleeping in a van parked on Ocean Parkway. A deputy warned the people it is illegal to live in cars in Marin County.
POINT REYES STATION - A woman notified deputies that when she returned to her office, her staff said a client had come in 30 minutes earlier, gotten upset, and threatened to get a machine gun and shoot everybody.
WOODACRE - Deputies on Crescente Avenue arrested a man on a battery charge.
September 16, 1999 Sheriff's Calls
BOLINAS - A motorist at 4:15 p.m. notified deputies that a man in his 20s had kicked the motorist's car numerous times, causing dents and shattering glass over his face, thereby causing minor facial cuts. He said the man was upset because the motorist did not allow the man's girlfriend to pass him on a two-lane road.
FALLON - A woman reported that a nighttime vandal smashed her mailbox on the Fallon-Two Rock Road. She said this was the second time the mailbox had been smashed in two years. A deputy gave her advice.
NATIONAL SEASHORE - A woman living along Pierce Point Road said about 10 bicyclists had painted graffiti "all over the road and road signs" but were now pedaling away. Among the graffiti, she said, were orange arrows.
INVERNESS PARK - A man complained that a delivery truck was blocking a lane of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and creating a hazard for motorists entering the boulevard from Vallejo Avenue. A deputy got the driver to move his truck.
WOODACRE - A man reported that jewelry had been stolen from his Redwood Avenue home - possibly by a friend of his housesitter.
FOREST KNOLLS - A man employed by a treatment center reported receiving threatening phone calls. Later a female employee notified police that a San Anselmo man had warned her against admitting a drunk-driving suspect. A deputy gave her advice and assigned extra patrols in the area. However, the officer concluded that the call she received could not be considered a threat.
MUIR BEACH - The Park Service found some money and turned it over to the Secret Service.
BOLINAS - A man at 1 a.m. complained about yelling during a party on Ocean Parkway. The disturbance was abated before a deputy arrived, and the host said the party had been shut down.
BOLINAS - A vacationer at 1:30 a.m. notified deputies that a drunk might be trying to steal a boat moored along Wharf Road. A deputy found the boat in "very shallow" water.
INVERNESS - A man staying at an inn along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard reported that several eggs had been thrown at his van during the night. Seven or eight other vehicles had also been hit, he said.
SAN GERONIMO - A woman complained that a large pile of trash had been dumped along North Meadow View Lane. She said she found a name on something in the trash, and deputies traced the name to a person who may be wanted by the Nevada County Sheriff's Office. However, officers determined the dumping was on private, not public, property.
MARSHALL - A deputy found a Holstein cow on the Marshall-Petaluma Road but was unable to contact the rancher who probably owned it.
POINT REYES STATION - A man notified deputies that a woman was making suicide threats "again." He quoted neighbors as saying she was angry and heading to a rummage sale.
OLEMA - Highway Patrolmen at 8:30 p.m. received a report of a motor vehicle and bicycle colliding. A deputy helped a CHP officer look for the accident, but neither could find it. The deputy surmised that any victim may have already gone to a hospital.
POINT REYES STATION - A photographer reported that pictures she needs for an exhibition had been stolen while she was in a store. [She asked The Light to announce that whoever has the pictures can return them "no questions asked" by calling 669-1673 or mailing them to Box 623, Inverness.]
SAMUEL TAYLOR PARK - A woman notified deputies that a group of people in their 20s and 30s had stolen firewood from her campsite. She said she was afraid they would return that night.
BOLINAS - A man told deputies a rifle had been "removed" [although from what was not reported] because of a neighbor's suicide threats. He said other people in the area had recently heard gunshots outdoors.
WOODACRE - The Highway Patrol asked a deputy to contact a woman who may have been a witness to an accident. The CHP said she was at work in Petaluma and would not be home until 7 p.m.
CHILENO VALLEY - A man spotted a motorist in a blue Chevrolet dumping trash at Wilson Hill and Marshall-Petaluma roads. He said he stopped and told the motorist to clean it up; however, he then left, so he didn't know if the motorist complied.
POINT REYES STATION - A merchant told deputies that juveniles were trying to get adults to buy them beer at her store. The juveniles were gone when an officer reached the scene.
BOLINAS - A surfer during the morning reported losing a surfboard on Olema-Bolinas Road. At 3:25 p.m., a surfboard was found on Olema-Bolinas Road.
FOREST KNOLLS - A Juarez Avenue woman notified deputies that a man, against whom she has secured a judge's restraining order, was in her driveway. She said he left when he saw her. A deputy noted that the man had not yet been served with the restraining order.
BOLINAS - A deputy on Olema-Bolinas Road stopped a Jeep for a traffic violation and then arrested the motorist on Sonoma County warrants. The motorist was also cited on charges of driving with a suspended license.
LAGUNITAS - Deputies were notified that homeless people are living in vehicles in the "Cove area" of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. The problem was assigned to the graveyard shift.
FOREST KNOLLS - A man reported that two teenagers wearing Halloween masks were at a house on Morales Avenue. He said they may have broken into the rear of the residence. Both had backpacks, he added.
POINT REYES STATION - A man gave a deputy a pistol to hold for safekeeping.
BOLINAS - A man on Wharf Road flagged down a deputy and asked her to talk with his brother, who had received a head injury weeks ago. The deputy could not find the brother.
SAN GERONIMO - A woman at 10:30 p.m. reported a vehicle idling behind a house that is under construction. A deputy determined the vehicle belonged to painters working at the house.
POINT REYES STATION - A gas station reported that its air-and-water stand had been knocked over during the night.
LAGUNITAS - A deputy investigated a report of possible child abuse and found no merit to the report.
DILLON BEACH - A man reported his shoulder bag, which contained a wallet and cellular phone, was stolen during the night from his vehicle parked on Beach Avenue.
DILLON BEACH - A burglar during the night stole property from a vehicle parked on Park Avenue.
DILLON BEACH - A burglar during the night stole property from a vehicle parked on Cypress Avenue.
MUIR BEACH - A man told deputies he lost his wallet the previous night, and credit card companies were now reporting that his cards were being used in unfamiliar locations.
FOREST KNOLLS - A Juarez Avenue woman reported quarreling with a man, 50, who was drunk. She said no weapons were involved. She later reported he was refusing to leave her cabin and had said he planned to commit suicide there.
MOON HILL - A man reported that three people were erecting a cement monument on public property where a bicyclist had been killed by a motor vehicle. A deputy determined the memorial was on private property.
BOLINAS - A woman at 7:40 p.m. complained about juveniles skateboarding and making noise.
September 9, 1999 Sheriff's Calls
BOLINAS - A woman complained that juveniles on Brighton Avenue were "banging their skateboards" and making "a lot of noise." She noted there had been a party in town earlier, but that was supposed to have ended an hour-and-a-half earlier at 6 p.m.
BOLINAS - A 12-year-old foster child had to be forcibly detained by her mother. The girl was taken to the county crisis unit.
SAN GERONIMO - An anonymous caller said someone was living in a white Toyota parked on San Geronimo Valley Drive. Deputies tagged the vehicle.
INVERNESS PARK - A park ranger was told that someone was throwing water balloons. A deputy couldn't find the culprits.
BOLINAS - A resident at 1:40 a.m. complained that a group of people were "carrying on in the street" following an all day party. All was quiet when deputies arrived.
FOREST KNOLLS - A woman at 4:30 a.m. reported hearing three gunshots and then one or two vehicles leaving the area.
DILLON BEACH - A maroon colored, older-model car was reported speeding and being driven recklessly up and down a street in the Oceana Marin subdivision.
BOLINAS - A merchant reported that a drunk man was outside being rude to customers. The problem got resolved before officers arrived.
STINSON BEACH - A woman reported that six to eight people were having a bonfire on the beach, and she was concerned about fire hazard. Deputies said the group included three adults.
FOREST KNOLLS - A man, who looked 20 to 40 years old and wearing white shirt and pants, was seen climbing over the fence behind a store. The caller said the man's vehicle could have been a pickup truck with a mattress in the back, and that the man may have been "carrying something is his pocket."
BOLINAS - Deputies were told at 1:10 a.m. that a group of people at a church were making too much noise. The matter was resolved before officers arrived.
BOLINAS - A man on Hawthorne Road complained that a dog had been barking three-and-a-half hours since 2:45 a.m.
BOLINAS - A resident on Ocean Parkway wanted to file trespassing charges against her neighbor, who she said came over to her house at 11 the previous night and yelled at her.
LAGUNITAS - A man told deputies he was concerned about his sister, who had been depressed lately.
TOMALES - Two kids and their dad were reportedly shooting at fish from a bridge over Walker Creek. The Marshall man who saw them said they looked like they were using a BB gun.
JEWELL - Someone broke into a car during the night, although no one was seen or heard.
DILLON BEACH - Two employees at a campground got into a verbal dispute with a group who insisted they shouldn't be charged for staying the previous night because they had just pulled in that morning.
BOLINAS - A woman reported that three or four vehicles were parked in a no-parking zone at the end of Brighton Avenue, and that people were starting to leave cars in the park with the tennis courts.
MARSHALL - Deputies responded to a complaint that a bicyclist was forced off the road.
BOLINAS - An anonymous caller said numerous cars were parked illegally around Brighton, Terrace, and Park avenues. The caller said he had checked the vehicles and found that none was ticketed, and said he thought deputies were ignoring the problem. A deputy cited two vehicles.
FOREST KNOLLS - A woman said she heard girls screaming from a vehicle at the top of Resaca Road. The girls were demanding to be let go, she said. At the scene, deputies were told there was no problem; the commotion was just "a bunch of kids having a good time."
STINSON BEACH - A resident of Francisco Patio complained that a car was parked illegally in front of his house. Upon learning that the car belonged to a neighbor, the resident told deputies he didn't want them to take any action.
POINT REYES STATION - A merchant complained of a horsetrailer with a For Sale sign parked in front of her store since the previous evening. Deputies decided the complaint was without merit.
DILLON BEACH - Deputies at about 4:15 p.m. got a report of juveniles drinking.
BOLINAS - A man said 10 to 15 juveniles were making noise and possibly drunk on Terrace Avenue. A deputy gave the youths advice.
STINSON BEACH - A resident on Calle del Resaca got a call from a girlfriend saying that a heavyset man named "Tyrone" was outside the resident's home. The man turned out to be a friend.
BOLINAS - A woman at 9:15 p.m. reported vehicles "racing" through downtown for the last half hour.
BOLINAS - A resident complained that a man on Iris Road was making "excessive noise" while revving up his truck. Deputies couldn't locate the driver.
STINSON BEACH - A Seadrift resident said she had received six threatening calls in the last hour, including death threats against her husband.
STINSON BEACH - A mom said someone left three messages for her daughter on the answering machine referring to a large, upcoming party of juveniles with several kegs of beer.
STINSON BEACH - Fifty juveniles were reported on the beach at 11:15 p.m.., drinking and yelling but not fighting.
STINSON BEACH - Twenty juveniles were reported around a bonfire at the beach at around 12:30 a.m. Deputies dispersed the crowd.
INVERNESS - A woman reported hearing a vehicle speeding, "laying rubber," and then crashing at around 2:30 a.m. Her husband had gone out to see if anyone was hurt. Deputies could not find any accident.
FOREST KNOLLS - A Volvo was reportedly parked at the intersection of Aztec Avenue and Guadalupe Place for the last month. Deputies marked the vehicle said they would check on it the following week.
LAGUNITAS - A woman spotted a disheveled-looking man in his 50s either urinating or masturbating, she couldn't tell which.
WOODACRE - Two calls came in after 10 p.m. about intermittent jack-hammering somewhere on Redwood Drive. It turned out that a crew was trying to repair a broken water main, and that the work would take about two more hours.
STINSON BEACH - An alarm sounded at a vacation home in the Seadrift subdivision. As it happened, a hot-tub company was on the premises.
FOREST KNOLLS - An anonymous caller at 10:45 a.m. reported a man drinking in the town park The caller said several men collect in the park every day and drink.
FOREST KNOLLS - A man wearing army fatigues was reported sitting outside a store for hours, making the employees nervous.
BOLINAS - Deputies tagged a white Toyota parked on Wharf Road for removal after 72 hours. All the windows had been bashed in.
SAN GERONIMO - A resident on San Geronimo Valley Drive said an old, brown Datsun had been dumped in a creek on his property.
NICASIO - A woman, who had just sold her house, said she found the window screen to the back laundry room cut. She said she wasn't sure if anything was missing.
LAGUNITAS - A woman said a man was standing in front of her house, laughing to himself. She said the man, who she guessed was about 40, had been there all day and had washed up at her faucet.
BOLINAS - A merchant at 1:48 a.m. complained that a dog was barking in the area of Brighton Avenue and Wharf Road. He said the barking was becoming an ongoing problem.
LAGUNITAS - Deputies couldn't find a station wagon that, according to a Spring Road resident, had been partly blocking a road for four days.
LAGUNITAS - A Marin Municipal Water District ranger reported a gray car being driven recklessly and crossing the center lines as it headed eastbound through Samuel P. Taylor Park.
SAN GERONIMO - Somebody pushed a blue pickup truck with a camper shell and Idaho plates into a church parking lot, and the pastor wanted it removed.
BOLINAS - A resident near Elm and Iris roads said someone had been playing a radio loudly for 20 minutes. Deputies found everything quiet. The resident called again two-and-a-half hours later, saying the radio was still on. The man said the music gets turned down when deputies arrive and gets turned back up when they leave.
FOREST KNOLLS - A couple at the trailer park were apparently arguing all day.
BOLINAS - A man, who had been drinking, called the county crisis unit and said he wanted to shoot himself and his neighbors.
September 2, 1999 Sheriff's Calls
DILLON BEACH - A boater at the pier reported his outboard motor stolen.
TOMALES BAY - Two kayakers were reported missing by the sister of one of the men. She said the pair had not told her when they planned to return, but she became worried after a day passed.
NICASIO - Thieves stole a generator, an air compressor, and the metal container that holds them from a construction site.
WOODACRE - A woman complained to deputies at 8 a.m. that her neighbor's dogs had been barking for an hour.
NICASIO - A resident reported that seven Black Angus cattle had wandered into her front yard, and were now behind the Druids Hall.
MARSHALL - A cow was reported loose on the highway near the boatworks. A Highway Patrol officer could not find it. POINT REYES STATION - A woman reported that a man driving a Ford Explorer sports-utility vehicle was crossing over the double-yellow line at 75 mph.
POINT REYES STATION - Thirty cows got loose on Sixth Street. They were returned to the nearby ranch.
INVERNESS PARK - A woman walking on Vallejo Avenue said she heard someone trying to break into house. She heard a heavy object being thrown against a door, but no glass breaking, although she told deputies she expected to hear that next.
TOMALES - A dog owner on Gericke Road said he saw a white Ford Aerostar van run over his pet. He said the driver stopped the van for a second, then sped away.
MARIN MUNICIPAL - A Nicasio resident complained of three males drinking and sleeping overnight on water district land in the Mount Tamalpais watershed.
STINSON BEACH - A woman on Calle del Embarcadero complained that someone had left their red Dodge blocking her driveway. She called deputies again two hours later, saying she was annoyed that the vehicle was merely cited, not towed.
STINSON BEACH - A wallet was found with a Nevada ID but no money.
NICASIO - A Lucas Valley Road resident asked deputies what he could do about the rifle shots he was hearing from the large property across the road. Deputies advised him that there was hunting going on, that it is hunting season, and the hunters were legal.
BOLINAS - A Horseshoe Hill Road resident reported a bicycle stolen during the night from an open storage area.
LAGUNITAS - Two vehicles were beneath a No Parking sign at the Ink Wells. A property owner complained that people were having a tailgate party and acting "unruly." Deputies ticketed one vehicle; the other was moved by its owner.
POINT REYES STATION - A resident on Highway 1 said a man walking north and wrapped in a pink blanket was holding his head, which appeared to be bleeding. The man was treated and released.
SAN GERONIMO - A resident reported that protesters at the French Ranch subdivision had been trespassing and driving their cars on to the property. The officer who responded noted that there were only five protesters at the subdivision at the time and that no one was trespassing.
BOLINAS - A thief stole a nail gun worth $400 from a Horseshoe Hill Road residence.
WOODACRE - A motorist told deputies his car was hit with a waterballoon while he drove on Railroad Avenue at 10:30 p.m. No suspects were seen.
POINT REYES STATION - A woman said she was getting messages at work from someone she has a restraining order against. Deputies gave her advice.
SAN GERONIMO - Deputies were told that a truck was sitting in front of the postoffice, and had partially blocked access to the building for several days.
WOODACRE - The manager of a swimming pool said she's concerned that someone will get hurt by empty beer bottles getting left near the pool.
INVERNESS - A landlady on Inverness Way complained that a previous tenant had vandalized her property. Deputies gave her advice.
SAN GERONIMO - Deputies advised a woman who said her neighbors were boarding someone in a vehicle in their carport.
BOLINAS - A man asked for advice in dealing with his "out-of-control" stepson.
SAN GERONIMO - A vandal damaged the window of a house on Sir Francis Drake Bouldevard.
