June 30, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

WOODACRE – A Maple Road resident at 8:01 p.m. Sunday complained about hearing a firecracker a minute ago. He said, "They often do it in this location." By the time the deputy reached the scene the blast was an hour old.

STINSON BEACH – A Calle de la Sierra resident at 11:41 p.m. Sunday reported 10 to 15 youths, all about 17 years old, were drinking on the beach, "making noise, and have a fire going." She said she had "asked them to quiet down, but they refused to leave." Although the group left before a deputy arrived, the officer found a "different group" on the beach and subsequently reported, "They are leaving now."

MUIR BEACH – A man at 9:32 a.m. Sunday reported a Toyota Camry had run off an embankment and was now 10 to 15 feet below Highway 1 not far from the Zen Center.

FOREST KNOLLS – A Castro Street resident at 10:30 a.m. Sunday complained that "protesters are creating problems, blowing horns, and blocking traffic lanes." the man said he understood that "it is illegal to keep sounding horns [and that he] would like them cited." He added that he has "put up with this for over a year." A deputy "contacted the protesters," who said they planned to keep holding demonstrations at the site every Sunday. The deputy gave them advice.

BOLINAS – A woman at 11:18 a.m. Sunday told deputies her dog was taken, while it was downtown, by a man with whom she is familiar. The woman said she wanted the dog back and asked that a deputy accompany her when she goes to get it. She said the dog is owned jointly by her and her son, who is in jail.

BOLINAS – A man at 11:36 a.m. Sunday complained about threats from a second man, 35, who had beaten him up last year. The second man had gone to jail because of the beating and had just been released, he said. A deputy quoted the first man as saying the second man warned that "he was going to beat him with a sledge hammer if he didn't give him pain meds."

DILLON BEACH – A merchant at 12:11 p.m. Sunday reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill from a woman who was still nearby. A deputy confiscated the bill "as evidence" but noted the 55-year-old woman had no idea she had a counterfeit bill." She said she had received the bill in Davis and showed the officer a receipt. The deputy took a report.

SAN GERONIMO – A deputy at Meadow Way and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:42 p.m. Saturday arrested the driver of a white Dodge pickup truck on drunk-driving charges.

INVERNESS – A Mesa resident at 12:03 a.m. Sunday complained about a loud party with music and shouting that had been going on for two to three hours. A deputy checked the area but found no party.

STINSON BEACH – A Francisco Patio resident at 12:54 a.m. Sunday complained about people with a bonfire partying on the beach.

TOMALES – A townsperson at l:07 a.m. Sunday complained about a "loud, live band and people." The "band was supposed to stop at 12:30 a.m.," the caller said.

STINSON BEACH – The fire chief at 1:49 a.m. Sunday notified deputies of "30 [people] yelling and screaming." He had received reports of fighting at two restaurants. When deputies arrived, the fight at one restaurant was over.

BOLINAS – A man at 3:38 a.m. told deputies there apparently was a "riot" underway on Wharf Road and that he could hear "people yelling and screaming." He said he believed they had been drinking. A deputy determined there was no physical fighting.

WOODACRE – A resident at 7:09 p.m. last Wednesday told deputies a 38-year-old man had called her five times that day and left threatening messages. She said the man, who lives in Hawaii, is her daughter's former boyfriend.

STINSON BEACH – A woman at 9:08 p.m. last Wednesday notified deputies that a friend had "flipped out" at Highway 1 and Panoramic Highway and was "hanging from a cliff."

MARSHALL – Petaluma Police at 1:29 a.m. notified West Marin deputies it had found a boat and trailer missing from a Highway 1 residence. On June 19, the boat on its trailer was towed away by a Winnebago whose driver told the victim's uncle he was "taking the boat for collateral" because he is "owed money."

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 8:16 a.m. June 21 reported seeing a man with two five-gallon plastic buckets "pacing back and forth" at Meadow Way and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. At 7:37 a.m. the next day, a deputy at San Geronimo Valley Drive and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard "contacted" the man with the two buckets. The officer reported the man is "homeless and has been sleeping in a field near the community center. He plans to head back to Las Vegas." The man had previously been "staying at a homeless shelter in San Rafael," he told the deputy.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 4:58 p.m. last Wednesday told deputies she had been on her way home when she came across a neighbor whose car had broken down; it was beside the road at Montezuma Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. She said the other woman is in her 80s and had been waiting three hours for a towtruck. A deputy called a towing company that promised to be there within half an hour.

BOLINAS – Deputies at 9:56 p.m. June 21 received a report that a 30-year-old man with a burgundy-colored backpack was being "violent and loud." A caller said the man "was attacking a few locals" but that "no weapons" were being used. The man had been kicked out of a bar earlier in the day, the caller added.

POINT REYES STATION – Medics responded at 4:02 p.m. June 21 when a 60-year-old man outside a restaurant had trouble breathing.

BOLINAS – A 32-year-old man on Wharf Road at 4:02 p.m. June 21 reported he was "just punched in the face five minutes ago by a 25-year-old man. A deputy arrested the younger man on charges of public drunkenness.

BOLINAS – A woman at 7:04 p.m. June 20 reported her husband had just been involved in a two-car collision on Highway 1. A deputy reported there were no injuries.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 9:46 p.m. June 20 complained of "two smoky fires" on the beach in the vicinity of Calle del Arroyo and Calle del Occidente. A deputy went to the scene and later reported, "Both out."

FOREST KNOLLS – The Highway Patrol at 12:55 a.m. June 21 reported a white vehicle driven by a man had overturned at Montezuma Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

NICASIO – A Los Piños resident at 8:29 a.m. June 20 reported someone had made fraudulent charges on her "account." A deputy took a fraud report.

BOLINAS – A resident at 9:24 a.m. June 20 complained about white and green travel trailers parked at Elm and Juniper roads for "months." She said officers had "tagged" them to be towed away and she would like to know when that will be. "Garbage is now being put in the trailers," she said, adding that she was "concerned about the garbage." A deputy advised her to call the County Counsel's Office.

 

June 23, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

NICASIO – A man at 7:06 p.m. Sunday told deputies that another man in a white van had "threatened to shoot him," an officer reported. The man said that "no weapon was seen," he added and that the second man was "still parked in a van" at the scene. Deputies noted there was a "language barrier" in speaking with the man, who is Asian but were told the second man "threatened to shoot all of them." A deputy contacted the men, who were from Sonoma County.

POINT REYES STATION – A resident at 7:13 p.m. Sunday reported coming home to find his screen door broken. "When he looked in," a deputy noted, there was a "man in his 30s ... inside, and [the man] said the door had been broken by cleaning people." The resident said he knew nothing about the man, but a deputy met with the man and "was able to verify the subject was legitimate."

FOREST KNOLLS – A motorist at 7:34 p.m. Sunday notified deputies that "a woman is drunk and lying in the middle of the roadway on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. [The motorist] stopped to ask her if she needed help, and [the woman] wanted to get into [the motorist’s] vehicle," an officer quoted the driver as saying. The motorist told deputies she thought the other woman "may have been trying to kill herself."

OLEMA – An Inverness resident at 8:27 p.m. Sunday notified deputies a car was in the ditch along Highway 1 south of town. She did not know if anyone was in the vehicle, but the Highway Patrol subsequently reported there was. The CHP said the person was uninjured but was stuck in the ditch and needed to be towed out.

STINSON BEACH – A man on Calle del Arroyo at 8:53 p.m. Sunday reported seeing a dark Ford pickup truck back into a parked Subaru stationwagon, putting a dent in the car’s left rear bumper. The man said the driver "might have been drinking." The owner of the Subaru could not be immediately identified.

MARSHALL – A Highway 1 resident at 10:19 p.m. Sunday told deputies a 22-foot-long Searay boat had been stolen from in front of his house about five hours earlier. The resident said the boat on its trailer was towed away by a white Winnebago with a gold stripe. "The driver told the [man’s] uncle," a deputy reported, that "he was taking the boat for collateral, as he is owed money."

WOODACRE – A resident Sunday told deputies her 16-year-old son was purchasing her car, and "although he had not paid the full amount, he had come by the house and took the car without permission." A deputy gave her advice.

BOLINAS – A resident at 2:05 p.m. Sunday complained about "cars with surf[board] racks blocking no-parking signs on the one way stretch of Park Avenue." A deputy said the resident "was upset that he never sees a patrolcar in Bolinas but always [sees officers] in Stinson giving out tickets." A deputy gave him advice.

LAGUNITAS – A woman at 3:41 p.m. Sunday complained that "a group of kids tied a rope to the side of the bridge, and they are swinging from it." A deputy later reported the "rope swing [was] taken down" and the youths were "advised it was unsafe."

POINT REYES STATION – Deputies at 4:14 p.m. Sunday received a complaint about "numerous cars" illegally parked on Mesa Road and at the Coast Guard housing complex. A deputy ticketed five cars for parking within three feet of the centerline of Mesa Road.

POINT REYES STATION – A vehicle ran off Highway 1 at 6:51 p.m. Sunday. No one was injured.

BOLINAS – A Terrace Avenue resident at 8:55 a.m. Saturday told deputies that a vandal had "destroyed a garbage can and garden lights" the previous evening. The resident reported hearing a noise outside at 8 p.m. but didn’t check on it.

WOODACRE – A resident at 11:05 a.m. Saturday spotted a man and woman with a blue pickup truck "dump a carpet, paint buckets etc." at Carson Road and Railroad Avenue despite no-dumping signs posted there. The resident "confronted the male and female who said they would come back to get things later," a deputy reported. The officer traced the pickup’s license plate number to a man in Woodacre.

BOLINAS – A woman at 1:31 p.m. Saturday complained of drunk men sitting on a wall across Wharf Road from the library. A deputy found men with five open containers of alcohol, but none of them were drunk.

BOLINAS – A deputy on Olema-Bolinas Road at 1:50 a.m. arrested an "uncooperative drunk" on charges of public drunkenness.

STINSON BEACH – A Highway 1 resident at 2:19 a.m. Saturday reported a very drunk man, 62, had hit his head when he fell on the pavement, injuring himself. Medics transported the man by ambulance to Marin General Hospital.

WOODACRE – A woman at 11:12 a.m. Friday told deputies other family members had "accused [her] of stealing things from her mother’s house." She asked for, and received, advice. All this culminated a week of various family members complaining to deputies about their relatives.

BOLINAS – A resident at 2:11 p.m. Friday asked that a deputy stand by while her 32-year-old son moved out of her house. She said he had been served with court papers ordering him to leave. A deputy said the mother "has had problems with her son in the past."

BOLINAS – A woman at 3:27 p.m. Friday told deputies that while she was hiking near the end of Poplar Road, she found "papers, articles of clothing, a driver’s license, and an empty purse."

POINT REYES STATION – Firefighters at 3:29 p.m. Friday relayed a message to deputies that a man had come by the Emergency Services building to report losing a cell phone. The phone was later found.

CHILENO VALLEY – A resident at 10:23 a.m. last Wednesday told deputies that a "man had just come to the residence and hit him," an officer reported. The resident told deputies The man, aged 27 or 28, had just left in a Dodge pickup truck. The resident and the man have the same last name, and the resident said the man "had wanted to remove an item from the house" and that when he denied the man’s request, the man hit him.

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 9:17 a.m. last Wednesday reported an older Toyota was parked in her driveway. A deputy determined the car was owned by a woman in Oakland.

BOLINAS – A woman at 9:48 a.m. last Wednesday told deputies she had received a call from CitiBank that a $31.90 check with her name on it had bounced. She said she was concerned because her account is with a different bank.

DILLON BEACH – A Cliff Street resident at 12:20 p.m. last Wednesday complained about a movie company on the beach filming. He told deputies, "They are using blanks in rifles to film it, and they are shooting the rifles in the direction of [his] residence." He told deputies he wanted the moviemakers to "stop firing at his house," a deputy noted. The officer spoke to the film crew who "agreed not to point the rifles at residences."

SAN GERONIMO – A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident at 12:44 p.m. last Wednesday notified deputies she had "just seen a 25-year-old man," who left in a white Toyota, "try to enter [her] residence." A deputy quoted her as saying the man "came through the front gate and tried to open her window. He left in a truck when confronted." The man was described as having a very dark complexion.

WOODACRE – A resident at 12:49 p.m. last Wednesday asked to speak with a deputy about "an ongoing problem with a homeless man who stolen [her] dog." The dog has not returned, and the deputy told her how to get a court to issue a restraining order against the man.

BOLINAS – Deputies at 5:24 p.m. last Wednesday received a report that a problematic townswoman was behind a Wharf Road building "screaming" and "yelling profanities."

TOMALES – A merchant at 7:03 p.m. June 14 notified deputies that a drunken man in a bar had been threatening other people and that he had attempted to smoke in the bar. The merchant said he had a "slight altercation" with a friend of the man when he "tried to take a beer bottle from him as they were leaving." The merchant said he does not want the man in his establishment again.

MARSHALL – A woman at 8:21 p.m. June 14 told deputies that she keeps a boat where she pays rent and that "someone" had "brought floats and said [she] would have to move in three days." She asked what her rights are, and a deputy gave her advice.

LAGUNITAS – A merchant at 7:47 a.m. June 14 notified deputies a vandal had written graffiti and smeared feces on her front door during the night. She said she believed the culprit was a homeless in his 40s; she said he had come into her business drunk the previous day, and she had refused to sell him alcohol.

TOMALES – A merchant at 8:53 a.m. June 14 reported property had been stolen from her Highway 1 business the previous night. A deputy, who noted this was part of an "ongoing problem" in a civil-law dispute, took a report.

BOLINAS – A resident at 2:30 p.m. June 14 reported that someone has been vandalizing a vacant house she owns. Although there is "no water in the residence," she noted, someone "uses the toilet." The person also leaves beer bottles and other trash in the house. The previous Friday, the resident said, she had discovered males at the vacant house. When discovered, they ran into a house nextdoor, she said, adding that they had a white Dodge pickup truck.

FOREST KNOLLS – A deputy downtown at 3:09 p.m. June 14 attempted to arrest a man on charges that he had violated a court-issued restraining order. The man tried to avoid being arrested, a deputy reported, and he was pepper-sprayed while being taken into custody. While driving him to jail via Lucas Valley Road, the deputy reported that the man, who had refused medical attention at the scene, had "now changed his mind." His eyes were "burning." The deputy took the man to the Marinwood Firestation, where his eyes were flushed out. He was then jailed on charges of resisting an officer's order, resisting arrest, and violation of a court order.

INVERNESS – An elderly woman at 3:51 p.m. June 14 told deputies she had arranged for someone to remove furniture from her Sir Francis Drake Boulevard residence so she could rent it out. However, she said, she couldn’t remember with whom she had made the arrangements nor where the furniture was to be stored.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 4:29 p.m. June 14 complained that youths on West Cintura had just set off two skyrockets in the past two minutes. He said he had also heard them setting off skyrockets the previous day. All was quiet when a deputy arrived.

BOLINAS – A woman on Wharf Road reported at 6:42 p.m. June 14 that a man driving a blue sports pickup truck was "trying to hit people." She said he tried to "ram" her car and "was yelling and screaming at people." She said she had been driving when the sports pickup came up behind her and began honking. She said she pulled over, and the driver of the truck "confronted" her husband and "tried to hit him and then began yelling at people on the road." She said the sports pickup was last seen "heading up Terrace Avenue with two male passengers."

STINSON BEACH – A Calle del Embarcadero resident at 1:06 a.m. June 13 complained about "a loud juvenile party upstairs." He said the youths were "drinking beer and screaming." When a deputy arrived, the problem was abated. The officer subsequently reported, "The party is over, and people are leaving."

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 11:38 a.m. June 13 told deputies she had hired a floor contractor, but he walked off the job without returning her house key.

WOODACRE – A Carson Road resident at 11:45 a.m. June 13 reported a vandal had overturned her recycling repeatedly for the past five or six months. She said the vandal used a felt-tip pen to write "derogatory" comments on her carport door regarding her dog and also left "cigarette butts all over the driveway."

FOREST KNOLLS – A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident at 9:46 a.m. June 12 complained about protesters outside making "a lot of noise" every Sunday. A deputy noted that the protesters, who were opposed to the war in Iraq, were "not in the street" and were "peaceful."

POINT REYES STATION – A townswoman at 11:10 a.m. June 12 reported a dog was locked in a stationwagon in which the window was open only an inch. She said the dog was barking and panting and pushing itself against the window. The Humane Society was summoned.

WOODACRE – A resident at 3:13 p.m. June 12 notified deputies that her 11-year-old daughter had hit her because of a "small argument." She told deputies she didn’t "know how to handle the situation."

 

June 16, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

WOODACRE – A Railroad Avenue resident at 7:28 a.m. Saturday told deputies that the previous afternoon a vandal had used black paint to write graffiti on her garage, front porch, and doormat.

BOLINAS – A Brighton Avenue resident at 11:11 a.m. Saturday notified deputies that a recreational vehicle, with people sleeping in it, had parked in front of her house overnight. A deputy gave her advice.

TOMALES – Firefighters at 2:25 p.m. Saturday reported gunmen were in the midst of "target practice in a field." A deputy determined the gunmen’s shooting was "not unlawful because they are the property owners."

WOODACRE – A woman at 9:06 p.m. last Thursday reported her 15-year-old daughter had been hit by a motorcycle while she was crossing the street. The mother said her daughter left the scene to avoid getting in a verbal fight with the biker. She also said her daughter had suffered scrapes and bruises but did not want medical attention.

LAGUNITAS – The county Office of Emergency Services at 11:46 p.m. last Thursday reported a woman had "fallen off the side of a ravine to a creek 30 feet down." The woman, who was uninjured but drunk, needed help getting out of the ravine, deputies noted, adding that she also had marijuana in her possession. The woman was transported to a hospital by ambulance.

INVERNESS PARK – A Silver Hills neighborhood resident at 8:40 p.m. Friday notified deputies that a vandal had smashed the driver's side front window of her stationwagon but had stolen nothing.

WOODACRE – A Railroad Avenue resident at 8:54 p.m. Friday complained that a neighbor had been burning something outdoors for hours. A deputy could not find the fire.

BOLINAS – A Little Mesa resident at 11:23 p.m. Friday complained of skyrockets being shot off in the area.

BOLINAS – A 42-year-old man at 1:03 a.m. reported his heart was pounding, he was having difficulty breathing, and had a history of heart problems in his youth. A dispatcher advised deputies that the man "states he's been drinking for five days."

SAN GERONIMO – A Humane Society officer at 8:31 a.m. Friday notified deputies that a deer had been hit in traffic at Lagunitas School, and "it went onto the playground with two baby deer." She asked that deputies keep children away from the injured deer until she could get there. A deputy could not find the deer.

POINT REYES STATION – A merchant at 3:19 p.m. reported having a video of someone stealing a surveillance camera worth $1,000.

FOREST KNOLLS – A Montezuma Avenue resident at 4:48 p.m. Friday complained about a 16-year-old boy "on a yellow dirt bike speeding up and down the road." He said he was unhappy with both the noise and the speeding. A deputy checked the neighborhood and found only one boy with a parked motorcycle, and its engine was cold. He told the boy about the complaint but noted, "It appears he was not the involved party."

FOREST KNOLLS – The postmaster at 12:26 p.m. last Thursday notified deputies that for the past two weeks when he arrived for work, the lobby lights were turned off. The postmaster said he believes somone is spending nights in the lobby, adding that some postal customers have been "startled" at finding someone sleeping there.

TOMALES – A resident at 1:06 p.m. last Thursday reported that someone had illegally used his credit card and checks five times in the past month. He said he had closed the credit card account but that five checks had been forged. A deputy took a fraud report.

WOODACRE – A Redwood Drive resident at 2:29 p.m. last Thursday complained about neighbors feeding a wild peacock, thereby "keeping it in the area." She said she was "concerned because the peacock goes after [her] cat, and it is very noisy." She wanted an officer to ask the neighbors not to feed the peacock, and a deputy spoke to the neighbors.

 

June 9, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

POINT REYES STATION – A Bolinas farmer at 8:14 p.m. Sunday notified deputies he had seen someone driving a white pickup truck with a camper shell chase a woman driving a stationwagon to the sheriff’s substation. He said she had dogs and luggage in her car. Deputies could not find either driver.

POINT REYES STATION – A deputy at 4:30 p.m. Sunday responded to a report of an overhead line dangling onto Mesa Road near Lorraine Avenue. The deputy determined it was either a telephone or cable-television line. Staff of The Light and Toby’s Feed Barn then anchored the end of the line on the shoulder of the road so it was not lying in a traffic lane.

BOLINAS – A man at 8:23 a.m. Sunday told deputies he had seen his 33-year-old ex-wife the previous day smoking marijuana on the beach in the presence of their four-year-old daughter. A deputy gave him advice.

FOREST KNOLLS – A 45-year-old woman at 11:03 a.m. Sunday called deputies here from Humboldt County to complain that her 50-year-old boyfriend had pushed her down the previous day. She said they were "involved in a pushing match."

BOLINAS – A deputy responded at 12:56 p.m. Sunday after the Highway Patrol and two residents reported that a woman in her 30s was drunk at Mesa and Olema-Bolinas Roads. A deputy found a "very cranky" woman sitting beside the road, determined she was not drunk, and moved her along.

POINT REYES STATION – Deputies at 12:58 p.m. Sunday responded to a motorcycle crash on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road a mile east of Highway 1. The rider refused medical care.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 3:18 p.m. Sunday complained that a Ford Bronco was parked in the wrong direction on Rafael Patio. A deputy ticketed the car.

POINT REYES STATION – A restaurant manager at 7:52 p.m. Sunday notified deputies that overhead lines outside were arcing. She said she could hear "loud popping" and could see sparks. A deputy was unable to locate the problem. Firefighters later determined that high wind was slapping powerlines together.

WOODACRE – A deputy on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:33 p.m. Saturday arrested a motorist on drunk-driving charges.

LAGUNITAS – Deputies and medics at 9:37 p.m. Saturday responded to a traffic accident on Sir Francis Boulevard. One person with chest pains was transported by ambulance to Kaiser Hospital.

POINT REYES STATION – Firefighters at 10:06 p.m. Saturday received a report of someone shooting off fireworks. Deputies were unable to find the culprit whom, they suspected, was a youth. They did, however, find a wedding reception that had just ended.

BOLINAS – Deputies at 8:58 p.m. Saturday received an anonymous complaint about 100 teenagers on Brighton Beach, some of who were juggling flaming torches. A deputy found a group holding a wake and reminded them of the county ordinance against beachfires.

POINT REYES STATION – A deputy driving on Highway 1 at 4:19 a.m. Sunday collided with a deer, injured it, and shot it to put it out of its misery.

FOREST KNOLLS – A woman at 9:59 a.m. Saturday reported having been abused by another woman. The woman reported receiving a broken finger. The other woman had driven off in a GMC truck, she said.

INVERNESS – A resident at 11:58 a.m. Saturday reported a gray Ford panel truck was parked in an unusual location where there are few homes. He said he had spoken to the driver, a man in his 40s, and the driver had said he was "just killing time." The resident noted the driver had a Tellatubby doll roped to the front of his truck.

MARSHALL – Deputies and the Highway Patrol at 12:31 p.m. Saturday responded to a motorcycle cash on Highway 1.

MUIR BEACH – A woman at 1:31 p.m. Saturday reported her car had been burglarized on May 20, and three purses were stolen. She said a man and his daughter in Cloverdale had now found her purse and were looking for the others. She asked a deputy for advice.

STINSON BEACH – A man at 1:44 p.m. Saturday reported losing his cell phone last Thursday.

INVERNESS PARK – A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident at 2:53 p.m. Saturday reported losing his wallet which contained credit cards and his driver’s license.

DILLON BEACH – A woman at 3:43 p.m. Saturday reported she had been in an Internet chatroom when some man posted, "She must be asleep and had better not be at the hospital." The woman, who works at a hospital, said didn’t know why the man seemed to know this, adding that she felt threatened.

FOREST KNOLLS – Medics responded at 6:24 p.m. Saturday when an 88-year-old man had trouble breathing. She added that he was "anemic."

BOLINAS – A deputy driving on Olema-Bolinas Road at 7.m. Friday was involved in a non-injury traffic accident. However, her patrolcar was damaged.

INVERNESS – A Camino del Mar resident at 7:10 p.m. Friday reported losing his wallet the previous night.

STINSON BEACH – Medics responded to Seadrift Road Friday evening when a drunk, 42-year-old woman fell and cut her face.

TOMALES – An innkeeper at 2:20 a.m. Saturday complained that a pickup truck outside was disturbing her guests by playing loud music. The truck was gone by the time a deputy arrived.

POINT REYES STATION – A man, 41, at 12:14 a.m. Friday told deputies that his wife, who had been drinking, thought something was wrong with her wrist. He said she did not need medical care. The dispatcher’s log listed the wife’s age as seven, but a deputy told The Light he was dubious.

INVERNESS – A woman at 10:59 a.m. last Thursday asked for advice concerning potential fraud. She said she had received an email from a man who wants to send her a check for $3,862.08 to buy artwork she is selling for $1,600.

POINT REYES STATION – A man at 1:15 p.m. last Thursday told deputies he had seen a bicyclist run into a moving car. He said the rider had attempted to get up but fell down. Medics responded, and the Highway Patrol handled the accident report.

FOREST KNOLLS – A Montezuma Avenue resident at 9:12 p.m. last Wednesday complained that a woman was driving a pickup truck on his property.

DOGTOWN – A man at 12:18 a.m. last Wednesday reported a Nissan had crashed along Highway 1, and a victim was lying on the pavement. The victim was transported to a hospital by helicopter.

WOODACRE – A Carson Road resident at 12:45 p.m. last Wednesday told deputies that her neighbor was starting to pour cement for a fence on the resident’s property. The neighboring woman had previously complained that someone had stolen her contractor’s shovel and a heavy-duty wheelbarrow (together worth $600) from her property.

CHILENO VALLEY – A man at 6:31 p.m. last Wednesday told deputies he had been defrauded of $497.

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 9:36 p.m. complained that someone in his neighborhood was doing carpentry and had done so the previous evening until midnight. A deputy found a man who said he’d had to make emergency repairs to his roof but had finished an hour ago. He was "very apologetic" for the noise, a deputy noted.
