BOLINAS A caller on Wharf Road at 11:36 a.m. Sunday notified deputies that a townsman in his 30s was drunk and screaming at people. Deputies, who were later told, "He went inside," could not find him.
STINSON BEACH A deputy at 12:22 p.m. Sunday received word from someone on Calle del Arroyo that a county sign had been stolen during the night. The sign had marked the border of privately owned Seadrift Beach.
BOLINAS A resident at 7:15 p.m. Saturday told deputies that on Jan. 6, another woman lately of Bolinas had threatened her.
STINSON BEACH A Calle del Occidente resident at 9:01 p.m. Saturday complained about a small bonfire on the beach, which, he said, was "smoky." A deputy told three or four families that county law forbids beach fires there, and they agreed to extinguish it.
STINSON BEACH Medics responded at 9:50 a.m. Saturday when a son reported his 62-year-old father had a rapid heartbeat, could not talk, and now could only communicate by nodding his head.
WHITE HOUSE POOL A deputy at 1 a.m. Monday found a man, 40, and a woman, 29, both from Placer County, sleeping in a pickup truck and arrested them on various charges. The truck had been stolen in Placer County; the man was also charged with violating parole; and the woman was also charged with violating probation. In the truck was possible loot from burglaries, such as collectible coins and collectible baseball cards, the deputy said. West Marin deputies are working with Placer County sheriffs deputies on an investigation.
BOLINAS A Brighton Avenue resident at 10:48 p.m. Saturday told deputies that 15 people had a bonfire on the beach. The people were "fairly quiet," he added. A deputy contacted the people, told them the fire was illegal, and they put it out.
DILLON BEACH A woman at 12:37 a.m. Sunday complained of campers, who had been drinking, pouring gasoline on a fire and urinating on "others" in the campground. The dispatch log did not indicate whether the "others" were fires or people. In any case, a deputy could not find the drunken campers.
BOLINAS A Brighton Avenue resident at 12:53 a.m. Sunday complained about two fires on the beach. He said they were about 50 feet apart. A deputy contacted people on the beach and had them extinguish their fires.
FOREST KNOLLS A Candelero Avenue resident at 1:24 a.m. Sunday reported hearing a rifle shot. He said he recognized the noise as coming from a rifle because he is a hunter.
FOREST KNOLLS A man at 7:58 a.m. Saturday complained someone was sleeping for the past few days in a tractor-trailer parked along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. A deputy found the truck, but there was no one in it.
NICASIO The Highway Patrol at 2:53 p.m. told deputies it had received a report that a bicycle and bicyclists helmet were lying beside Lucas Valley Road. The bicycle had lain beside the road for several hours, and deputies noted there was no one around it.
INVERNESS A resident at 3:11 p.m. Saturday notified deputies she had received a call from her ex-husband despite a court order restraining him from contacting her. The resident said her ex-husband may have earlier entered her home through an open window and taken some notebooks.
OLEMA A man at 8:58 p.m. last Thursday reported finding a camper dumping wastewater on the ground instead of into the sewage system. He told deputies she became belligerent when he told her this was not allowed. He said she was now back at her campsite. A deputy gave him advice.
FOREST KNOLLS A resident at 12:53 a.m. Saturday reported that a 45-year-old man, who had been drinking, had fallen down stairs, although she did not know how many. In any case, he was now unresponsive and bleeding from the head although he was breathing. Medics responded.
BOLINAS A Brighton Avenue resident at 10:11 a.m. last Thursday said she wanted to have a conversation with an officer about campers parking on Brighton.
LAGUNITAS A resident at 1:51 p.m. last Thursday complained about a man, 18 to 24 years old, selling magazines. He reported the young man had said he was the son of a neighbor, but he isnt, the resident said. An Arroyo Road resident later told deputies that when the young man came to her door, he gave her his name and was wearing an ID.
WOODACRE A resident at 5:32 p.m. last Thursday complained that a Ford pickup truck had been parked on a blind curve of Carson Road for the past 10 days, creating a traffic hazard. A deputy determined that the truck is owned by a Lagunitas man.
INVERNESS A man at 11:08 p.m. last Wednesday notified deputies that a tree three feet in diameter and 40 to 50 feet long had fallen across Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, completely blocking it.
WOODACRE A woman at 11:50 p.m. last Wednesday called deputies from a payphone to say she had locked herself out of her car while at the postoffice. Noting it was "very dark," the woman said she was frightened, and a deputy arranged for a towtruck operator to jimmy the door.
BOLINAS A Brighton Avenue resident at 9:25 a.m. last Wednesday told deputies that a homeless man was camping on her property. A deputy found the man and advised him that he was trespassing.
WOODACRE A woman at 11:06 a.m. last Wednesday complained about someone spending nights in a white truck with camper shell parked near the Improvement Club. Following a complaint a week earlier, a deputy tagged the truck to be towed away, but the owner removed the tag, she said.
PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD County firefighters at 1:36 p.m. last Wednesday notified deputies that a black pickup had run off the road and that a towtruck was needed. A deputy subsequently reported the accident was on Red Hill and that the truck was 50 feet down a ravine. He said the eastbound lane would have to be closed for 30 minutes while the truck was pulled out of the ravine.
TOMALES A caller in San Mateo at 9:37 p.m. May. 17 notified deputies that his mother in Tomales had been attacked by her roommate and was now complaining her back hurt. Deputies noted the roommate was another older woman.
MUIR BEACH A woman at 4:11 p.m. May. 17, reported a burglar had broken the back window of her car to steal a watch and keys. The burglary had occurred about noon while the car was parked beside Highway 1, she said.
DOGTOWN A deputy at 10:51 p.m. May 17 pulled a dead deer off Highway 1.
POINT REYES STATION A deputy at 11:18 p.m. May 17 cited the driver of a black Nissan for driving with a suspended license.
MARSHALL A Highway Patrol officer on Highway 1 at 8:30 a.m. May 16 arrested a motorist on drunk-driving charges.
FOREST KNOLLS A woman on May 16 reported that a few minutes earlier that morning another woman driving a pickup truck "full of garbage," along with a futon in its bed, almost hit two people. She said the second womans former boyfriend lives in the area, adding that the second woman, 40, had recently had a "mental breakdown" and might be having a "psychotic episode."
STINSON BEACH An Arenal Avenue resident about noon May 16 notified deputies of an attempted Internet fraud. The resident said she had attempted to sell a computer on Craigs List for $1,000. A supposed buyer, she said, sent her a check for $5,000 and asked her to send him back $3,000 in change. The buyers check was counterfeit, she said. A deputy gave her advice.
LAGUNITAS A man at 1:39 p.m. May 16 notified deputies he had lost his wallet while hiking somewhere around Tocaloma.
May 19, 2005 Sheriff's Calls
FOREST KNOLLS A resident at 12:10 a.m. May 10 told deputies that a man had forced himself into her home through her front door. She added that court had issued a restraining order that he stay away from a second woman, who is staying with her. While on the phone with a dispatcher, she said the two had now gone outdoors. At 8:02 p.m. Sunday, the resident again called deputies. She was extremely upset that the man had returned and was trying to take the second womans child from her. The resident said the man lives nearby and that there was a warrant out for his arrest.
BOLINAS A Brighton Avenue resident at 9:16 p.m. Sunday reported a "large fire" on the beach. A deputy checked on it and later reported: "Fire put out."
BOLINAS A woman at 9:17 p.m. Sunday complained that people were creating a disturbance by working on cars in the Ocean Avenue area. She said she wanted them stopped, but deputies couldnt find them. It was the second time in a week she had complained about their excessive noise. All was quiet when deputies went to Ocean Avenue the first time.
BOLINAS A woman, who happens to be a teacher, at 9:21 p.m. Sunday notified deputies that she had rented a car and found cocaine and mace in its center compartment. She said she knew it was cocaine because she had consulted her father, who is a doctor. The rental agency gave her a different car to drive.
STINSON BEACH A Calle del Pradero resident at 9:22 p.m. Sunday notified deputies she had just heard five "explosions" on the beach, adding that the noise "doesnt sound like fireworks." While she was on the phone, she heard a sixth explosion that "sounds very powerful." Whoever was creating the disturbance was gone when a deputy arrived.
STINSON BEACH An Arenal Avenue resident around 10 p.m. Sunday complained that an alarm at a neighboring house "keeps going off every 30 minutes to an hour." The resident said the alarm button had been found and the alarm shut off repeatedly, "but it comes back." A deputy determined the alarm was not a burglar alarm.
WOODACRE A resident at 3:46 p.m. May 10 complained that a business septic-tank alarm "goes off daily at 2 p.m." This has been going on since December, she said. The resident noted that she and other neighbors had talked to the business but nothing has been done. However, the business is trying to get the alarm fixed, officers were told.
POINT REYES STATION A merchant at 10:18 a.m. Sunday complained about a motorcycle parked on the grass between the curb and the sidewalk. A deputy contacted the motorcycles owner, and the owner moved it.
PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD Hicks Valley firefighters at 10:51 a.m. Sunday reported an upset man with a silver-colored Isuzu was parked on Rocky Hill. By the time a deputy arrived, the man had left, but the deputy found a pool of radiator fluid on the ground and speculated the man had been upset because his car had broken down.
MARSHALL Deputies at 12:34 p.m. Sunday responded to a motorcycle crash on the Marshall-Petaluma Road. A man who found the biker said the victim had been lying in the roadway unconscious for at least five minutes and could not stand up. Deputies reported the man, who had landed on his head, was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
BOLINAS A caller in a bar at 10:54 p.m. Saturday reported a drunk woman was "throwing bottles around." The woman had be "asked to leave by employees but was refusing." The caller said the woman was not known around downtown. A deputy booked the woman on charges of public drunkenness.
FALLON A Fallon-Two Rock Road resident at 12:23 a.m. Sunday reported hearing a traffic accident, possibly a head-on crash. Deputies noted a victim, who possibly had a head injury, could not be transported by helicopter to a hospital because it was too foggy for the craft to land. The victim was transported by ambulance instead.
DILLON BEACH A camper at 1:52 a.m. Sunday notified deputies that a man had been beating a woman. They had gotten into a gray van and left, she said, but the woman was beating on the vans windows.
FOREST KNOLLS A woman at 7:24 a.m. Saturday told deputies she had been staying with a man and he had become abusive. The woman told officers she left but now wanted to get back in the house to reclaim her personal belongings. A deputy stood by while she did.
WOODACRE A resident last Thursday said her 19-year-old brother was missing after jumping bail in South Lake Tahoe. She was worried about his welfare because he had been depressed. At 10:35 a.m. Saturday, she reported learning that her brother had been in jail in Santa Barbara since April 22.
TOMALES Medics responded at 11:51 a.m. Saturday when a motorcycle crashed on Highway 1. County firefighters then asked West Marin deputies to notify the bikers wife that he had been in an accident and was being transported to Santa Memorial Hospital by helicopter. The biker suffered broken ribs and a hip injury, deputies were told.
POINT REYES STATION A postal clerk Saturday notified deputies that someone had found a mans wallet containing a New York drivers license and had turned it in at the postoffice.
WOODACRE A Railroad Avenue resident at 5:58 p.m. Saturday reported her cars rear window had been broken during the night. She said nothing was taken, so deputies took a vandalism report.
BOLINAS A woman on Horseshoe Hill Road at 6:52 p.m. Saturday accidentally set off a burglar alarm when she went into a neighbors house to feed a cat. Deputies determined she had "permission" to enter the house to feed the cat. The alarm was reset.
NATIONAL SEASHORE A ranger at 10:40 a.m. Friday reported finding in Olema some of the loot from a recent car burglary at Bear Valley and Limantour roads. Although the victim lost his cell phone, Palm Pilot, and keys, rangers did recover gear for bicycling and his contact lenses. Deputies on Bear Valley Road had earlier spotted a gray Oldsmobile, stopped it, and questioned two possible suspects.
BOLINAS A deputy at 7:25 a.m. last Thursday picked up a 38-year-old, out-of-control, manic-depressive man on grounds he had become a danger to others. The man was taken to the crisis unit a Marin General Hospital.
LAGUNITAS A resident at 10:14 a.m. last Thursday, noted a dispatcher, "called to state he had a psychic tip that a man raped a relative [of the resident] in Lagunitas" the previous day. The resident later called back to say he "realized that [the information] was a mistake." A dispatcher noted that the resident was "certain" that his first "psychic" information was "incorrect."
FOREST KNOLLS A man at 10:55 a.m. last Thursday complained that a travel trailer with a woman in her 50s living in it was parked on Castro Street. He said he had seen her 90 minutes earlier and that he believes she sells marijuana.
BOLINAS A man called from a bar at 12:02 p.m. last Thursday to report a 45-year-old woman kept losing and regaining consciousness and had been vomiting. He said she may have overdosed on an unknown drug. A deputy determined the woman was going through "alcohol withdrawal."
POINT REYES STATION A woman around 1 p.m. last Thursday went to the sheriffs substation to report being the victim of sexual battery. Deputies arrested a man later that day.
WOODACRE A woman at 12:59 p.m. last Thursday reported a Jeep and Honda were parked near the Improvement Club, and someone was apparently living in them. A deputy tagged the vehicles to be towed away.
FOREST KNOLLS A resident at 1:28 p.m. last Thursday reported the screen to a bedroom door had been cut. Deputies agreed to provide extra patrols on his road to discourage any burglars.
LAGUNITAS A resident at 2:02 p.m. last Thursday told deputies that a $5,000 bicycle and a $120 power cleaner had been stolen from her gated yard.
POINT REYES STATION A man at 3:13 p.m. last Thursday reported a burglar had broken out the back window of his car parked on Mesa Road downtown and had stolen a bag. The bag contained bicycling gear, he said, adding that his car had been unlocked.
NICASIO A Lucas Valley Road resident at 4:47 p.m. last Thursday reported losing a cell phone earlier in the day.
INVERNESS A First Valley resident at 9:16 a.m. last Wednesday complained about a roosters crowing. A deputy contacted the roosters owner and "advised" him about the countys noise ordinance. The owner said he would take care of the problem.
WOODACRE A woman at 10:45 a.m. last Thursday told deputies that when she encountered a 50-year-old man and told him not to talk to her, he shouted obscenities at her. The woman said the man had upset her and made her feel "anxious."
BOLINAS An Olema-Bolinas Road resident at 12:51 p.m. last Wednesday told deputies a woman had taken his checkbook and written three checks on his account. He noted the checks, which were used to pay off fines, had been made out to Marin Superior Court. A deputy noted her alleged chutzpah was not the first such case in Marin County.
WOODACRE A woman at 1:26 p.m. last Wednesday reported someone had used her credit card to open an account with Nextel, a cellular phone system. She said she had closed the account but was concerned about her credit rating.
BOLINAS A resident at 3 p.m. last Wednesday reported problems with his 52-year-old mother-in-law. She said the woman has "been calling, writing, and harassing [his] family," adding that she is an alcoholic with a history of drug use. He said his family doesnt want any contact with her, and a deputy told him how to get a court to issue a restraining order against his mother-in-law.
BOLINAS The Highway Patrol at 9:18 p.m. May 10 forwarded a report to deputies that there was a dead fawn on Olema-Bolinas Road. A deputy could not find it.
TOMALES A man at 5:18 p.m. last Wednesday notified deputies that a tree one foot in diameter had fallen across the Tomales-Petaluma Road near Highway 1, blocking three fourths of the road.
POINT REYES STATION A newspaper delivery driver last Wednesday morning told deputies a white pickup truck with Texas license plates had followed her from Nicasio Reservoir to the sheriffs substation and had waited at the curb for 15 minutes before leaving. She said the truck had stopped each place she stopped to deliver a newspaper. The woman said two men about 25 years old and wearing cowboy hats were in the truck.
OLEMA VALLEY A man at 9:42 p.m. May 9 notified deputies that some electric fencing belonging to him had fallen off a friends truck somewhere along Highway 1. A deputy helped him find it.
BOLINAS A resident at 10:50 a.m. May 9 reported someone had a tent and campsite at the end of Maple Road. She said that when she approached the tent, a man started yelling, "Who are you? Get out of here etc."
May 12, 2005 Sheriff's Calls
INVERNESS A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident at 8:27 a.m. Sunday reported her purse containing her wallet and checkbook had been stolen from her car.
INVERNESS PARK A Paradise Ranch Estates resident at 9:14 a.m. Sunday told deputies an unknown person had run up $7,900 worth of charges on her credit cards. A deputy took a fraud report.
WOODACRE A resident at 9:52 a.m. Sunday reported that a blue GMC bread-delivery truck had been parked for the last two nights at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Railroad Avenue. He said the bread truck was a hazard at night when motorists turning onto Railroad Avenue have trouble seeing it. Deputies arranged for the truck to be towed away.
POINT REYES STATION A woman at 7:02 p.m. Saturday complained that a blue, 1970s Mercury has been parking in the wrong direction on Meadow Way near Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. She said the owner moves the car around the area. Deputies told her to call back if she spotted the car again, which she did at 9:52 a.m. Sunday. Deputies then arranged for the car to be towed away and stored.
POINT REYES STATION A man at 2:45 p.m. Sunday complained that a blue minivan was parked along Highway 1 in a space reserved for handicapped drivers. The van was gone when a deputy arrived.
DILLON BEACH The Highway Patrol at 5:04 p.m. Sunday told deputies it had received a call from a woman in Petaluma who said she had been drugged during a get-together on Cypress Avenue in Dillon Beach. The woman said she felt "odd" and nauseous after drinking two glasses of wine. A deputy, who described the woman as "uncooperative," reported the woman didnt see how she came to be drugged but noted that there was a "strange" person at the party. The woman said she planned to be tested for drugs while at a hospital. The deputy asked her to call back if the test found evidence of illicit drugs, but she never called.
BOLINAS A Brighton Avenue resident at 7:32 p.m. Saturday told deputies there was a fire on the beach. He said creosote-soaked driftwood was burning and giving off toxic smoke, adding he feared there could be more beach fires. A deputy found two illegal fires on the beach and stood by while those responsible for the fires put them out.
STINSON BEACH A woman at 8:52 p.m. Saturday asked about a lodging advertisement on a parked vehicle. For reasons not explained in the dispatch log, a deputy then drove to the end of Mesa Road in Bolinas and saw a few vehicles with camper shells "but no people, parties, or problems."
SAN GERONIMO A man at 9:13 p.m. Saturday reported that a second man, who works locally, had threatened him in front of witnesses. The second man then drove off on a motorcycle, he said.
FOREST KNOLLS A man at 7:39 p.m. Friday told deputies a white GMC pickup truck with a travel trailer had been parked on Castro Street for two days with people possibly living in it. A deputy spoke to the people with the truck and trailer, and they assured him they were not camping in the trailer.
STINSON BEACH A Seadrift Road resident at 7:59 p.m. Friday told deputies that two men, 25 and 60, were in his house and that he wanted them to leave. He added that his girlfriend had brought the men to his house to help her remove her belongings.
STINSON BEACH A motorist at 10:45 p.m. Friday told deputies she had struck and killed an animal at Highway 1 and the Panoramic Highway. She said the animal, which might be a bobcat, was still lying in the roadway. A deputy could not find it.
FOREST KNOLLS Deputies at 2:15 a.m. Saturday received a report that a white pickup truck with a camper shell had been parked in town four days with someone sleeping in it. A deputy found the sleeper, and she said she would have a friend move the vehicle in the morning.
POINT REYES STATION A Lorraine Avenue resident at 7:15 p.m. last Thursday told deputies an ex-tenant had damaged his rental unit. A deputy took a vandalism report.
FOREST KNOLLS A resident at 7:23 p.m. last Thursday notified deputies he had been walking his dog on Guadalupe Place when a 45-year-old drunken man approached the resident to greet his dog and "grabbed the dog by his head." The man was "nipped by the dog when he placed his face into the dogs face," the resident said, adding that the man then threatened to sue him. The resident told deputies the man did not need medical attention.
FOREST KNOLLS An "upset" resident at 9:09 p.m. last Thursday told deputies that four people, who had been drinking, were setting off fireworks in front of a nearby house. The noise was frightening his family, he said. The four people left before an officer arrived on the scene.
POINT REYES STATION A resident at 12:11 p.m. last Thursday notified deputies that a dog was lying in the roadway at Lorraine Avenue and Mesa Road. She said it appeared that the dog had been struck in traffic. The dog did not have a license or a collar, the resident added. The Humane Society responded.
BOLINAS A resident at 7:50 p.m. last Wednesday told deputies she had just had a confrontation with a man in his 30s on Overlook Drive. The woman said that while driving home she came upon logs in the oncoming lane. A man then arrived and "threw" a traffic cone on the ground. Although she was driving only 20 mph because she was near her house, the man shouted at her to "slow down," she complained.
WOODACRE A Redwood Drive resident 12:11 p.m. May 2 complained about a man in his 20s who three days earlier had gone door to door soliciting money. The man said he needed the money to go to Europe to perform in a play. At 10:34 a.m. last Wednesday, the same resident asked deputies how to get a court to issue a restraining order against someone. An officer gave him advice. At 8:06 p.m. he called deputies again, this time saying that he had just received a call from a man in Bolinas who said he wanted to fight him. A deputy then called the Bolinas man who said he was upset that the Woodacre resident had called deputies since the resident had damaged the mans car. A deputy then called the Woodacre resident who admitted vandalizing the Bolinas residents car. The deputy took a vandalism report.
BOLINAS A resident at 7:17 reported that someone with two dogs was sleeping in a pickup truck parked on Ocean Parkway. The truck left the scene before a deputy arrived.
TOMALES A woman at 8:22 p.m. May 3 notified deputies that a boy had driven her car out of the high school parking lot and was heading toward the football field when the car "got away" from him and "flipped" near the field.
STINSON BEACH A resident at 10:25 p.m. May 2 reported hearing what sounded like a car running off Panoramic Highway and possibly hitting a tree. She said it now sounded as if the driver were trying to start the car. The car turned out to be a motorcycle whose rider was trying to get back onto the highway.
BOLINAS A Wharf Road resident at 12:06 a.m. May 3 complained about loud music, especially from a bass guitar, coming from a bar. A deputy contacted those responsible, and they agreed to turn the music down.
STINSON BEACH Deputies at 9:11 a.m. May 2 received a call from a woman at the school who said a schoolbus window had been smashed over the weekend.
DILLON BEACH A woman on Marine View Drive at 1:32 p.m. May 2 told deputies a campground owner had asked her to call them because four or five "young campers" with a Ford Explorer had become a "problem." She added that the young campers had just left the campground.
INVERNESS PARK Deputies at 4:56 p.m. May 2 received a call reporting that a man in his 30s had gotten out of a vehicle along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard "and started hurling himself against the Porta-Potty. Then he went inside the Porta-Potty and continued to throw his body against it, making it move." A deputy could not find the man and reported it was "unknown why the subject was acting strange."
NICASIO A motorist on May 1 notified deputies he had stopped near a ranch on Nicasio Valley Road and "discovered what looks like a pile of human bones: ribs, arms etc." A deputy later reported the bones were from an animal.
WOODACRE Deputies at 10:11 p.m. May 1 received a complaint about a noisy party in a hot tub. A deputy said he would advise the woman who owns the hot tub about the complaint.
BOLINAS An Olema-Bolinas Road resident at 2:37 p.m. May 1 notified deputies that "kids" were "scaring harbor seal pups out of the mudflats."
May 5, 2005 Sheriff's Calls
NICASIO A man at 7:30 p.m. Sunday reported finding what appeared to be a pile of human bones along Nicasio Valley Road. A deputy inspected the remains and determined it was a deer carcass.
WOODACRE A woman at 10:11 p.m. Sunday reported that her neighbor and neighbor's friends were being excessively loud in a hot tub.
MARSHALL A manager at 10:56 a.m. Sunday at Walker Creek Ranch requested extra patrols on that day. Some 400 people from the Northern California Mountain Bike Association were scheduled to arrive and he said he was concerned a particular protester might try and disrupt the event.
BOLINAS A woman at 2:37 p.m. Sunday reported a group of kids were disturbing harbor seal pups lying on the mudflats of Bolinas Lagoon.BOLINAS A man at 2:41 p.m. Sunday reported that someone had vandalized his van, breaking the driver's side window.
HICKS VALLEY A woman at 3:41 p.m. Sunday reported that her car had been broken into with cash, credit cards, and driver's license stolen, while she was taking a bike ride in the area.
STINSON BEACH A man in San Francisco at 7:48 p.m. Saturday reported that while looking at the ocean through binoculars, he saw a hanglider crash into the water "in the direction of Stinson Beach." BOLINAS A woman at 11:05 p.m. Saturday reported that a vehicle parked on Brighton Avenue was blaring loud music. A deputy checked the area, but the vehicle was gone.
INVERNESS PARK A man at 1:31 a.m. Saturday reported he had crashed into a Dumpster on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. There was no damage to the Dumpster, the car was towed, and the Highway Patrol made a report.
BOLINAS A woman at 7:18 a.m. Saturday reported that four RVs and one large truck had been occupied overnight. A deputy checked the area and found no sleepers or vehicles matching the description.
NICASIO A 75-year-old man at 8:11 a.m. Saturday reported that he had fallen and his artificial hip had popped out. Medics responded.
WOODACRE A 73-year-old man at 10:40 a.m. Saturday reported he had fallen and broken his hip. Medics transported him to Marin General Hospital.
DILLON BEACH A woman at 1:49 p.m. Saturday reported that a group of people who had accidentally broken a plaster statue worth $40 was refusing to pay for it and had fled. A deputy gave advice, and the store owner declined to take further action.
LAGUNITAS A woman at 4:05 p.m. Friday reported that a man was camping in his pickup truck along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. A deputy found the vehicle unoccupied and left a notice stating that a county ordinance prohibited roadside camping.
SAN GERONIMO A man at 10:08 p.m. Friday reported that loud noise from construction was bothering him. It was an ongoing problem, he said. The noise had stopped by the time a deputy had arrived.
OLEMA A deputy at 11:36 p.m. Friday stopped a vehicle on Highway 1. The driver was cited for having an open container of alcohol and possession of marijuana.
SAN GERONIMO Deputies at 9:26 a.m. Thursday received a report of persons last camped in a vehicle for the past four days. A deputy contacted the campers, advising them of a county ordinance against roadside sleeping. The campers told the deputy they were driving to Seattle that night.
POINT REYES STATION Deputies at 10:31 a.m. last Thursday received a report of cows in the road at the junction of Highway 1 and Mesa Road. The cattle were rounded up and returned to their pasture.
POINT REYES STATION Deputies at 11:26 a.m. last Thursday received a report that an older woman had fallen and injured her leg in the downtown. Firefighters transported her to Kaiser Hospital in Terra Linda.
SAN GERONIMO A man at 10:17 p.m. last Wednesday reported that a man was sleeping in his car by the roadside. A deputy contacted the man who agreed to move to a campground in Samuel P. Taylor State Park.
WOODACRE A man at 8:49 p.m. April 26 reported that a friend visiting form Australia had gone out hiking that day and had not returned. County firefighters located the woman an hour later.
POINT REYES STATION The Highway Patrol at 8:58 p.m. April 26 reported that a truck had struck a cow that had wandered onto the roadway. The cows were corralled and returned to their pasture while the truck driver filed a report for damage.
TOMALES A woman at 10:44 p.m. April 26 reported driving past a man on the Valley Ford-Frankin School Road who was trying to flag down passing traffic for help. She did not stop, she said, but noted that the man's car was in a ditch. A deputy found the vehicle but could not locate the man.
LAGUNITAS A woman at 11:18 p.m. April 25 reported that her boyfriend's father was drunk and threatening her boyfriend. A deputy arrived, the household calmed down, and the man and son promised to settle their differences peacefully.
