January 26, 2006 Sheriff's Calls

STINSON BEACH – An Arenal Ave. resident at 10:39 a.m. Jan. 16 reported electronic equipment taken from an unlocked vehicle.

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 11:00 a.m. Jan. 16 requested a civil standby while she picked up her cat from a family member.

BOLINAS – A motorcyclist crashed, compound fractured his leg and was transported to the hospital at 1:41 p.m. Jan. 16.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 3:32 p.m. Jan. 16 reported an unknown person had been forging the resident’s business checks during the past month.

STINSON – The San Francisco Police Department had a subject in custody who had property that may have belonged to a Stinson Beach resident. SFPD had left a phone message and requested deputies try to contact the resident at 3:37 p.m. Jan. 16.

WOODACRE – A mother at 9:31 p.m. Jan. 16 reported her 9-year-old-son possibly had sleep-walked away from their home. The boy had been asleep on the couch, his mother "woke him up to tell him they had to go and the boy got up and walked off."

DILLON BEACH – A neighbor at 10:01 p.m. Jan. 16 was concerned by activity on a nearby property. The property owners had "gotten their back hoe stuck and had arranged to have some friends come after work to assist them."

TOMALES – A resident at 11:59 a.m. Jan. 17 reported a bar bank till containing approximately $700 was stolen sometime during the night. There was no evidence of forced entry.

STINSON BEACH – A concerned family member at 8:48 a.m. Jan. 18 sought advice regarding a potential elder abuse occurring between a parent and an adult child. Deputies advised, investigated and found no merit to the allegation.

OLEMA – Deputies responded at 8:16 p.m. Jan. 18 to the report of suspicious individuals "in the field across from the cemetery [carrying] flashlights." The two individuals were part of the "U.S. geological survey crew studying and tagging the Wily Red-Legged Frog."

BOLINAS – A woman at 2:06 a.m. Jan. 19 sought advice regarding an on-going problem with an ex-boyfriend. The woman requested "assistance getting transportation out of the area."

TOMALES – A 16-year-old with neck injuries was transported to the hospital at 12:44 p.m. Jan. 19.

POINT REYES STATION – A cell phone was turned in at 4:07 p.m. Jan. 19.

BOLINAS – A resident at 11:35 p.m. Jan. 19 requested medical assistance for her child who was having difficulty breathing.

BOLINAS – An elderly woman at 8:52 a.m. Jan. 21 reported she "feels she is being held against her will" in a care facility. Deputies spoke to the caretaker.

FOREST KNOLLS – A passerby at 2:32 p.m. Jan. 21 reported to CHP that a toddler was locked inside a minivan. CHP found the minivan unoccupied.

WOODACRE – A resident at 3:25 p.m. Jan. 21 reported "3 subjects dressed in Ku Klux Klan outfits with a video camera yelling white supremacist remarks" on property across from the resident. The three male high school students explained they were working on a class project.

LAGUNITAS – A ranger, who was out of radio communication, requested a citizen at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 21 notify deputies that the ranger was holding a "very intoxicated male" and wanted assistance.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 12:34 a.m. Jan. 22 complained that two trucks were drag racing. Deputies checked the area.

WOODACRE – A loud party was reported at 2:52 a.m. Jan. 22 but all was quiet when deputies arrived.

LAGUNITAS – A parent at 6:19 p.m. Jan. 22 sought advice regarding her teenaged son.

BOLINAS – A resident at 9:38 p.m. Jan. 22 requested medical assistance for a friend who had passed out several times and had lost consciousness. Medics responded.

INVERNESS – A mother 12:35 a.m. Jan. 22 reported her son was expected home at 7:30 p.m. and had not returned.

January 19, 2006 Sheriff's Calls

NICASIO – A single vehicle accident occurred at 8:49 p.m. Jan. 8 across from the Lincoln School. The vehicle was on its side and stuck in the mud. The driver and a passenger did not suffer injuries and were waiting for a tow.

NICASIO VALLEY ROAD/SIR FRANCIS DRAKE – A resident at 9:03 p.m. Jan. 8 reported a driver had driven his car into a ditch and was "not having much luck" getting it out. The driver appeared to have been drinking. CHP responded.

STINSON – A woman at 12:31 a.m. Jan. 9 reported she had crashed her car somewhere "in Marin Headlands" and had hurt herself. CHP responded.

POINT REYES SEASHORE – A park ranger at. 8:17 a.m. Jan. 9 discovered the bathrooms at Limantour Beach had been vandalized with spray-paint. Two young men were seen in the area. When deputies stopped the two they admitted to the vandalism and stated they had tried to clean it up with paper towels but had little success. Both young men had been drinking and the driver didn’t have a license. The driver was arrested for DUI. Rangers issued both men a citation for vandalism.

DILLON BEACH – A resident at 3:00 p.m. Jan. 9 notified deputies of identity fraud. A cell phone account had been opened using her social security number sometime between July and Sept. 2005 and $700 worth of calls had been made and remained unpaid.

FOREST KNOLLS – Sonoma county sheriff’s office at 11:12 a.m. Jan. 9 requested deputies’ assistance in locating a Forest Knolls resident who had left his car on Chileno Valley road with the keys inside a few days earlier. Deputies were unable to contact the resident, as the address given on the registration was a p.o. box.

BOLINAS – A resident at 1:16 p.m. Jan. 9 reported rocks thrown at him and his friends during a gathering. There were no injuries. Deputies believed the rocks had fallen from the hillside.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 4:32 Jan. 9 reported she discovered that an unknown subject had used her credit card for several Internet purchases.

POINT REYES STATION – A resident at 5:50 Jan. 9 reported he had lost $400. He believed the money had fallen out of his shirt pocket two days earlier while at a deli. The money had not been turned in.

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 10:51 a.m. Jan. 10 notified deputies of a possible fraud. She saw a message listing a 2005 Honda for sale on craigslist at an asking price of $3,000. The resident "felt it cost less than vehicle was worth and believed it was possible fraud." The resident did not send money or speak with other involved parties. Deputies found no merit for fraud.

BOLINAS – An elderly Wharf Road resident at 11:36 a.m. Jan. 10 had a verbal altercation with her caretaker.

BOLINAS – A Big Mesa resident at 12:49 p.m. Jan. 10 reported a verbal disagreement with her son. Deputies responded but the son was no longer in the area.

WOODACRE – A property owner at 1:08 p.m. Jan. 10 sought advice on how to evict her son from her property because he "had been abusing her tenants."

BOLINAS – A deputy at 1:34 p.m. Jan. 10 noticed a suspicious person and conducted a field interview.

POINT REYES STATION – A resident at 3:11 p.m. Jan. 10 requested information on Marin County firearm codes. The resident was concerned about neighbors who shoot guns on their property.

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 4:01 p.m. Jan. 10 found a CO2 BB gun while on a walk. Deputies disposed of the gun.

WOODACRE – A tenant, in the process of moving, at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 10 reported the son of her landlady was leaving inappropriate phone messages on her answering machine. Deputies responded, contacted the man and told him any further phone calls would result in filing charges with the D.A.’s office.

POINT REYES STATION – Deputies at 7:23 p.m. Jan. 10 picked up a dog that had been moderately injured when it was hit by a car. The dog was taken to the Humane Society for treatment.

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 11:31 p.m. Jan 10 requested advise on dealing with former landlords who were demanding payment for past due utility bills which the resident had paid. The resident was feeling harassed and was interested in getting a restraining order to prevent further contact.

POINT REYES STATION – An employee at 6:45 a.m. Jan. 11 reported the ATM machine at the laundry mat had been "taken out and place in a cart." Another person reported seeing a "suspicious male walking in the area" a half hour earlier. Deputies responded.

INVERNESS – A resident at 9:01 a.m. Jan. 11 requested a civil standby while her sister came to examine documents in the resident’s garage.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 11:39 a.m. Jan. 11 reported a suspicious white male walking away from his neighbor’s house. The man was a water meter reader.

LAGUNITAS – Medics responded at 5:32 p.m. Jan. 11 to a woman who was injured while hiking near the Inkwells and a rock fell on her leg. She was privately transported to Marin General.

NICASIO – A resident sought advice on how to get a woman to stop calling him. The resident was too intoxicated to speak to the deputies and was advised to "call back when he [sobered] up."

BOLINAS – An 11-month-old baby at 7:13 a.m. Jan. 12 was bitten on the face by the family dog. The family transported the child to the hospital.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 13 sought advice regarding a guest who stayed at her Bed and Breakfast, left without paying and left personal belongings behind.

NICASIO – A vehicle at 1:05 p.m. Jan. 13 was reported crashed into a ditch and possibly a tree at Petaluma/Pt. Reyes Road near Willow. The driver was injured.

NICASIO – A resident at 10:11 p.m. Jan. 13 requested a welfare check on a friend who had threatened to hurt herself. Deputies responded.

FOREST KNOLLS – A deputy at 10:22 p.m. Jan. 13 noticed suspicious teenagers near the post office. The teens disappeared after seeing the deputy.

DILLON BEACH – A resident at 12:03 a.m. Jan. 14 reported hearing "what [sounded] like gunshots in bursts of three, five to six times in the last thirty minutes." Deputies checked the area, heard nothing and found nothing suspicious.

LAGUNITAS – A teenager at 12:17 a.m. Jan 14 was concerned because he was locked out of his mother’s house, no one was answering the door, the lights were on and her car was parked outside. The mother was asleep inside the house.

FOREST KNOLLS – A mother at 7:56 a.m. Jan. 14 called to report her teenager was "out of control, destroying things inside and hitting her parents."

WOODACRE – A resident at 11:28 a.m. Jan. 14 wanted to speak to a deputy "regarding disturbing magazines that [kept] showing up in her driveway." Advice given.

MARSHALL – A resident at 2:00 a.m. Jan. 15 reported a boat, without a trailer, "was in a parking lot and may have been washed ashore during the storm." The boat was tagged for 72 hour abatement.

NICASIO – A resident at 8:34 a.m. Jan. 15 reported the "back license plate was taken from her truck." Deputies took a stolen/lost plate report.

BOLINAS – A resident at 10:39 a.m. Jan. 15 reported she "just arrived home to find all three of her doors (front, back and side door) wide open." Nothing appeared to have been taken

January 12, 2006 Sheriff's Calls

INVERNESS – Deputies at 8:32 p.m. Jan. 2 checked on an elderly couple after their children had been unable to reach them for two days.

FOREST KNOLLS – A neighbor at 12:54 p.m. Jan. 2 requested a welfare check on an elderly neighbor suffering from cancer who had been "stranded for several days by the storm."

BOLINAS – A Brighton Ave. resident at 1:57 p.m. Jan. 2 reported a piece of jewelry stolen from her home.

POINT REYES STATION – A 3-year-old child at 1:57 p.m. Jan. 2 "was found by the fire department in the middle of the street." The child’s father was found at a nearby childcare center.

BOLINAS – A resident at 5:38 p.m. Jan. 2 called to report "she loaned her vehicle to a subject who will not give it back to her." The resident was advised, "for the fifth time," that this was a civil matter. The resident hung up on the deputy.

BOLINAS – A Mesa Road resident at 10:11 a.m. Jan. 3 notified police that a woman was at his home and had repeatedly told the resident "that she was going to have him ‘taken out.’"

POINT REYES STATION – A visitor from Culver City at 8:47 p.m. Jan. 3 reported he had lost his cell phone "somewhere in town."

DILLON BEACH – A resident at 8:55 p.m. Jan. 4 notified deputies that four carloads of teens were "hanging out at a house that was partially burned down a month ago." The resident stated, "the juveniles [seemed] to be trying to get into the house" and two fence posts were broken. The teens were unloading beer from one of the vehicles and seemed to be heading towards the beach. Deputies contacted the teens.

WOODACRE – A resident at 9:02 p.m. Jan. 4 reported two people staying on his property owed him back rent, "were destroying his property and stealing from him." Deputies advised.

BOLINAS – An Ocean Ave. resident at 10:21 p.m. Jan. 5 complained of a "man working on his car and making a lot of noise."

MUIR BEACH – A resident at 2:11 a.m. Jan. 6 "heard someone trying to pick [the] lock on [the] front door." The resident said all the doors and windows were locked and that when she "banged on her side of the door" the noise stopped. No footsteps or vehicle noises were heard leaving the residence. Deputies checked the area.

NICASIO – A man at 2:18 a.m. Jan. 6 reported his ex-girlfriend had "followed him from the city" and she was at his residence "smashing things." Deputies responded.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 9:27 a.m. Jan. 6 complained that a neighbor was walking in an area where the resident had posted a sign reading "culvert washed out — no trespassing." The area was determined to be public property.

POINT REYES STATION – A woman at 10:33 a.m. Jan. 6 reported losing a wallet the prior evening.

BOLINAS – A resident at 11:00 a.m. Jan. 6 complained that his neighbors had "cut down Acacia Trees on his property." Deputies advised. Both neighbors later agreed to be open to county mediation.

MUIR BEACH – A resident at 1:31 p.m. Jan. 6 found a suspicious package at her mailbox consisting of a "packet of mail in [a] plastic bag with possibly opened letters." Deputies advised.

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 3:57 p.m. Jan. 6 reported that, two weeks ago, an "in-home support worker possibly stole medication." Deputies took a report for missing household items.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 7:02 p.m. Jan. 6 saw an unknown individual on a neighbor’s roof. He was whistling and shining a flashlight at an unoccupied home. The unknown individual was described as being "very agile and tall." Deputies checked the area.

BOLINAS – A father at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 6 complained of a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road and nearly hitting his son. The area was checked but the car and driver were not located.

BOLINAS – A Wharf Road resident at 2:31 a.m. Jan. 7 sought advice from deputies "because she [felt] she was unwillingly taken out of her home and wants to go back." Her children had moved the resident out of her home when they felt she needed additional assistance taking care of herself. Deputies advised.

DILLON BEACH – A resident at 2:46 a.m. Jan. 7 complained that a "neighbor’s garage door [was] open and a generator [kept] going on and off and a light in the garage [kept] flickering." The resident also noted that it appeared the neighbors were not home.

BOLINAS – A Wharf Road resident at 11:57 a.m. Jan. 7 reported he was "being attacked by [his] girlfriend."

WOODACRE – A resident at 3:31 p.m. Jan. 7 notified deputies that an individual who was being evicted from the property had "broken the window on [a] back door."

STINSON BEACH – Deputies at 3:43 p.m. Jan. 7 assisted an individual who "reported his wallet missing, was unsure of his address or phone number and [stated] he [was] coming off drugs."

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 4:37 p.m. reported 3 juveniles "removing sand from a sandbox to fill a mud hole in a parking lot." The resident felt the juveniles were making things worse in the parking lot as well as ruining the sand box.

POINT REYES STATION – Deputies at 9:49 p.m. Jan. 7 responded to a verbal argument between a man and a woman. The man drove away before deputies arrived.

STINSON BEACH – At 10:24 p.m. Jan. 7 a resident complained of noise from a neighbor "working on his truck."

SAN GERONIMO – Medics at 10:32 a.m. Jan. 8 assisted an elderly man who had fallen at church.

WOODACRE – A resident at 1:08 p.m. Jan. 7 complained of two cars partially blocking the resident’s driveway. The cars were moved.

NICASIO – A sixteen-year-old male at 4:03 Jan. 7 reported he had cut himself badly. His parent transported him to the hospital.

NICASIO – A parent at 6:14 p.m. Jan. 7 reported an "out of control juvenile breaking up things in the house" including a door and a window. The teen was upset about an "unknown problem" although his "video games were taken away from him." At the time of the call the teen was in his room and quieting down.

STINSON BEACH – A Shoreline Highway resident at 6:58 p.m. Jan. 7 reported the passenger side window of her car smashed and boots and a CD case taken. The resident believes she saw the suspects and gave deputies descriptions as well as the license plate number of their car.

 

January 5, 2006 Sheriff's Calls

FOREST KNOLLS – A ranger at 10:32 a.m. Dec. 26 "witnessed someone spreading glass in the roadway." Deputies checked area for the suspect.

MUIR BEACH – A driver at 10:54 a.m. Dec. 26 reported a "large amount of roadway covered with rocks. CHP and Cal Trans were notified.

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – Pt. Reyes-Petaluma Road at Highway One and Platform Bridge was closed at 12:11 p.m. Dec. 26 after a pole went down leaving telephone wires across the roadway.

LAGUNITAS – A driver at 12:48 p.m. Dec. 26 reported cars parked on both sides of roadway near Shafter Bridge "forcing drivers to swerve into on-coming lane to get around them." The owners of the vehicles were watching the salmon spawn. Multiple vehicles were issued citations.

WOODACRE – A passerby at 2:35 p.m. Dec. 26 reported two overturned vehicles with one possibly on fire. The passerby believed no one was in the vehicle. CHP responded.

BOLINAS – A resident at 2:37 p.m. Dec. 26 reported "she gave her car to someone and he won’t give it back." The resident was "advised to take possession of the vehicle when she [could] peacefully." Deputies spoke to the man in possession of the vehicle who stated he purchased it a week earlier.

MUIR BEACH – A driver at 4:54 p.m. Dec. 26 reported a "rock slide near the Zen Center" on Highway One. The road was cleared.

FOREST KNOLLS – A mother at 6:58 p.m. Dec. 26 requested a welfare check for her 26-year-old daughter who had "left the house [on foot] very upset."

DILLON BEACH – A ranch owner at 7:01 p.m. Dec. 26 reported a suspicious vehicle and strangers on his property. When he approached the unknown subjects, they ran from him. Deputies found no one on the property.

POINT REYES STATION – A bartender at 7:01 p.m. Dec. 26 reported a drunk man being "rowdy and causing problems." The man was arguing outside with his girlfriend at the time of the call.

FOREST KNOLLS – A caller at 9:56 p.m. Dec. 26 requested a welfare check for an "older confused woman." The caller reported "the woman very ill and refused an ambulance as she can’t afford it."

WOODACRE – A resident at 9:59 a.m. Dec. 27 requested advice regarding on-going trespassing problems.

OLEMA – A 15-year-old juvenile at 10:41 a.m. Dec. 27 was reported to have been in the campground alone overnight and was "behaving evasively."

TOMALES – A tree fell across Chileno Valley Road at 5:46 p.m. Dec. 27.

WOODACRE – A resident at 9:18 p.m. Dec. 27 reported an out of town neighbor’s lights on and requested deputies check the house.

INVERNESS – Medics at 11:48 p.m. Dec. 27 assisted an elderly man who had fallen in his home.

BOLINAS – A resident at 5:45 a.m. Dec. 28 complained of construction noise. Deputies checked the area, found no one working and concluded the noise to be storm related.

WOODACRE – An elderly resident at 8:04 a.m. Dec. 28 requested assistance when she woke up and found her electricity and heat not working. Electricity and heat were restored to her residence.

MUIR BEACH – A 66-year-old man at 8:46 a.m. Dec. 28 fell five feet from a ladder and possibly broke some ribs. Medics responded.

WOODACRE – A resident at 12:19 p.m. Dec. 28 reported the survey markers on his land vandalized. Deputies advised.

STINSON BEACH – Two women in a parked vehicle at 2:35 p.m. Dec. 28 were arguing with a man who was "trying to get the [women] out of the vehicle." The women refused to leave and appeared "to be threatening the [man]." Deputies responded.

DOGTOWN – At 6:24 p.m. Dec. 28 a tree was reported down and live wires present.

INVERNESS PARK – A stepparent at 7:28 p.m. Dec. 28 reported a juvenile stepchild drank a teaspoon of Old English Furniture Polish five hours earlier. The call was referred to Poison Control.

LAGUNITAS – A visitor at 9:14 p.m. Dec. 28 reported a "bad vandalism incident occurred last night in the restroom at Samuel P. Taylor Park."

STINSON BEACH – A mother at 12:33 a.m. Dec. 29 notified deputies her under-aged son had been served alcohol at a local restaurant and had come home drunk.

FOREST KNOLLS – An elderly resident at 1:24 a.m. Dec. 29 requested assistance re-lighting her pilot light underneath her house.

NICASIO – An unoccupied vehicle at 4:49 a.m. Dec. 29 was discovered stuck in the mud.

FOREST KNOLLS – A senior citizen at 6:12 a.m. Dec. 29 requested assistance getting her heater to work.

MUIR BEACH – An accident with injuries occurred at 7:53 a.m. Dec. 29 involving three vehicles and a tree.

POINT REYES STATION – An employee at 1:20 p.m. Dec. 29 requested an escort to her car because a recently fired employee was present and "being verbally threatening."

SAN GERONIMO – An upset resident at 2:11 p.m. Dec. 29 complained of "numerous cars parked on her property looking at the salmon spawning." She stated "it [had] been going on all day long" and "over 50 people [were] out there now." Deputies found no parking violations.

STINSON BEACH – Panoramic Highway at Highway One was closed at 2:41 p.m. Dec. 29 due to a mudslide near Mountain Home Inn.

BOLINAS – An ex-girlfriend at 4:31 p.m. Dec. 29 reported a physical altercation with her ex-boyfriend earlier in the day.

FOREST KNOLLS – A friend at 5:04 p.m. Dec. 29 requested a welfare check on an elderly resident who had been without heat for 3 days.

WOODACRE – A resident at 5:40 p.m. Dec. 29 reported noticing "strange things around her house: open windows and outdoor light bulbs being loosened." The resident stated she previously had a stalker. Deputies found no evidence of a crime.

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 9:41 p.m. Dec. 29 requested advice regarding recent vehicle break-ins and attempted burglaries.

WOODACRE – A resident at 5:00 p.m. Dec. 30 reported an unknown person left her a message that said: "thanks for calling about the gun." The resident was advised that SBC had been working on the phone lines and the call may have been intended for another party.

INVERNESS PARK – An out-of-town-resident at 5:09 p.m. Dec. 30 requested a flood check on her home.

POINT REYES STATION – A fallen tree branch obstructed traffic on Shoreline Highway 7:39 p.m. Dec. 30.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 8:09 p.m. Dec. 30 reported a woman had been making harassing phone calls to her for over a month. Deputies advised.

PT-REYES PETALUMA ROAD – The road from Platform Bridge Road to Graffiti Bridge flooded and was closed at 10:33 p.m. Dec. 30.

NICASIO – A resident at 11:37 p.m. Dec. 30 "heard a loud ‘thump’ against the roof, like a large rock hitting it." It was determined the noise was caused by a tree branch falling.

PT REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – San Antonio Road was closed due to flooding at 12:21 a.m. Dec. 30.

OLEMA – A driver at 1:33 a.m. Dec. 30 was stuck in roadway and the car was taking in water.

BOLINAS – A resident at 1:53 a.m. Dec. 31 reported being followed in his car by a woman he knew. When he arrived home, the woman "started smashing her vehicle into his." Deputies responded.

MARSHALL – A resident at 3:11 a.m. Dec. 31 reported his car stuck in a mudslide that was blocking the road. The resident left his car unattended and walked home.

OLEMA – A Shoreline Highway resident at 3:23 a.m. Dec. 31 reported water levels reaching his porch and that the post office and general store were flooding. The resident also requested assistance in contacting campers.

WOODACRE – A Crescent Drive resident at 4:19 a.m. Dec. 31 reported a tree or electrical fire near the resident’s home.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 4:49 a.m. Dec. 31 reported water over the creek at Paper Mill Saloon.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 7:01 a.m. Dec. 31 reported his basement flooded and an odor of gas.

LAGUNITAS – A Sir Francis Drake Blvd. house and the new vehicle parked in front of it at 7:57 a.m. Dec. 31 were reported flooded.

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – Nicasio Valley Road was closed at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 31 due to flooding.

FAIRFAX-BOLINAS ROAD – The Fairfax-Bolinas Road was closed at 9:32 a.m.

MARSHALL – A large tree and wires were down and blocking the roadway at 11:33 a.m. Dec. 31 at Shoreline Highway and Marshall-Petaluma Road.

MARSHALL – An unoccupied vehicle at 12:20 p.m. Dec. 31 was discovered nearly buried in a mudslide at the Marshall-Petaluma Road.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 1:11 p.m. Dec. 31 reported a neighbor’s car in danger of being swept away by water. The resident requested advice on having the car towed.

BOLINAS – Deputies at 1:33 p.m. Dec. 31 assisted the fire department in adjusting booms in the Bolinas Lagoon to catch a fuel leak.

MARSHALL – Deputies at 2:56 p.m. Dec. 31 were attempting to contact the registered owner of a sailboat that had "drifted onto rocks."

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 3:31 p.m. Dec. 31 reported an 8 foot drop where road was eroding on Sinaloa Ave.

STINSON BEACH – A family at 4:48 p.m. Dec. 31 was trying to reach a family member for a few days. There was no answer at the door though the car was in the driveway. The family requested a welfare check.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 5:38 p.m. Dec. 31 reported a large dump truck and a pickup partially blocking the roadway and preventing emergency vehicles from passing.

DILLON BEACH – A resident at 6:46 p.m. Dec. 31 reported people setting off fireworks.

LAGUNITAS – A neighbor at 9:36 p.m. Dec. 31 complained of loud music from a party. The music was turned down.

INVERNESS – A driver at 9:49 p.m. Dec. 31 reported a vehicle stuck on Levy and Bear Valley Road.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 9:54 p.m. Dec. 31 reported fireworks being set off.

INVERNESS – A Bear Valley Road driver at 10:40 p.m. Dec. 31 drove through high water and stalled his engine.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 10:42 p.m. Dec. 31 reported hearing "30 short rounds" of gunfire being discharged. The resident stated he was "an NRA member and that the sounds definitely [sounded] like gun shots." Deputies determined fireworks to be the source of the noise.

BOLINAS – A resident at 11:08 p.m. Dec. 31 reported someone setting off fireworks at the end of Brighton Avenue.

TOMALES – A resident at 12:39 a.m. Jan. 1 reported a truck’s engine running for approximately one hour.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 12:42 a.m. Jan. 1 reported neighbors firing a potato cannon. The resident was concerned because flames were shooting out of the cannon and the neighbors were refusing to stop.

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 8:20 a.m. Jan. 1 reported a transformer had exploded.

FOREST KNOLLS – An elderly resident at 9:23 a.m. Jan. 1 reported she was "out of drinking water and [was] unable to leave her house [because] the bridge [was] out." Attempts to reach the resident’s daughter were unsuccessful. Neighbors provided the resident with water.

STINSON BEACH – With water spilling over from the Bolinas Lagoon, both lanes of Shoreline Highway were closed for all traffic, excluding emergency vehicles, at 10:28 a.m. Jan. 1.

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 11:03 a.m. Jan. 1 found a wallet and informed deputies of his plan on mailing it back to the owner.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 12:11 p.m. Jan. 1 reported his propane tank damaged by the storm. As the propane company wouldn’t help him, the resident contacted deputies for advise.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 12:12 p.m. Jan. 1 reported a chimney fire.

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – an unoccupied vehicle at 12:13 p.m. Jan. 1 was discovered in the creek near Samuel P. Taylor Park. Apparently the vehicle has been in the creek for a couple of years.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 1:47 p.m. Jan. 1 reported a tree had fallen into a house. None of the occupants were in the house.

INVERNESS – At 3:23 p.m. Jan. 1 medics assisted a 76-year-old man suffering from extreme hip pain.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 3:58 p.m. Jan. 1 reported an individual calling and threatening the resident and the resident’s family, in violation of an existing restraining order.

POINT REYES STATION – A Shoreline Highway resident at 6:05 p.m. Jan. 1 reported mail, including credit card statements, taken from her unlocked vehicle.
